Online Application Provides Quick Access to a Safer Home, Business
Beaumont, Texas – When the sun goes
down, most of us get ready for a good night’s sleep with doors locked and homes
secured. And now it’s easier than ever to enhance the safety of your home with
security lights from Entergy Texas, Inc.
Via a special link, customers can let
Entergy Texas know they are interested in having a security light installed at
their home or business. Within just two business days, they will be contacted
and a lighting expert will assist them in determining what will best suit their
needs. Details can be found at
http://www.entergy-texas.com/outdoorlighting/security_lighting.aspx.
An online form is not, however, the
only way to start the process. Those who prefer to phone may call
1-866-603-0192.
“Security lighting is an important
concern to our customers,” said Vernon Pierce, customer service director,
Entergy Texas, Inc. “Thieves and burglars don’t like to go about their business
where they can be seen. Providing security lighting brings our expertise to bear
for the benefit of our customers.”
Once a light is installed, no fee is
charged for regular maintenance and even if the light and pole are destroyed in
a weather event, such as a hurricane, they will be replaced free of charge to
the customer.
Security lights begin with a 100-watt
high-pressure sodium light suitable for a home. High-pressure sodium floodlights
are also available in 100-, 400- and 1,000-watt sizes. Metal halide floodlights
that provide high-resolution color are available in a 1,000-watt size. Small
installation fees are charged, either $25 or $50, depending on the size of the
light.
Customers are charged monthly for the
lights with the charge added to existing bills. The charges vary depending on
the light’s wattage and begin at about $10 per month. If a pole must be
installed, an additional fee will be charged.
“We use industry standard products,”
Pierce said. “They are fully tested, weather-resistant and commercial grade. Our
installers are fully trained electrical workers who keep safety first and
foremost in their work.”
