Latest decrease takes effect August 1
JACKSON, Miss. – JACKSON, Miss. — Customers of Entergy Mississippi, Inc. will
see a decrease in their electric rates again beginning in August. The typical
residential customer using 1,000 kilowatt hours per month will pay $84.55
beginning August 1, a reduction of $3.37 from July.
“Entergy Mississippi and the Mississippi Public Service Commission have worked
together to bring about this decrease, which the MPSC ultimately approved,” said
Haley Fisackerly, Entergy Mississippi president and CEO. “Bills are a
combination of rates and usage. Since usage is up with the high temperatures of
summer, we’re pleased we’re able to bring rates down.”
Entergy Mississippi uses a diverse mix of fuel to generate electricity at the
lowest reasonable cost.
“We work hard to provide reliable, safe, affordable electricity,” said
Fisackerly. “Low rates are important to our customers, help businesses create
new jobs and help attract new business and industry to the state.”
