Entergy Arkansas Empowers Disabled Customers with New Online Feature

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – With disabilities affecting one-fifth of all Americans, Entergy Arkansas, Inc. has partnered with eSSENTIAL Accessibility on an initiative that provides web-based software tools free of charge to Entergy Arkansas customers, and to the general public alike.

"Entergy is proud to support online assistive technology that makes Web content more accessible to a broader audience,” said Patty Riddlebarger, director, corporate social responsibility, Entergy Corporation. “We are a company that cares about our physically challenged customers and as a caring corporate citizen, we are dedicated to continue our commitment to serve all customers.”

Customers will now be able to click on the wheelchair icon located at the top right hand corner of entergyarkansas.com and download the assistive technology provided by eSSENTIAL Accessibility to pay their bill, and find energy-saving tips. The icon will serve as a “virtual wheelchair” to open Entergy’s website, as well any other website, offering customers a page reader, predictive typing and other customizable options. For more information, visit entergyarkansas.com.
