New Orleans, La. – Entergy
Corporation (NYSE: ETR) has been named to the Forbes list of America’s Most
Trustworthy Companies for its corporate governance practices and accounting
transparency.
Entergy is the only electric utility
to make the list, which was drawn from 8,000 public companies. Particularly
significant is Entergy’s top-five rating among the large capitalization
companies listed.
Using more than 200 accounting and
governance metrics, Audit Integrity, an independent Los Angeles-based firm,
generated the list of 100 companies showing the highest degree of accounting
transparency and fair dealing to stakeholders during 2006.
