GovernanceMetrics International, a corporate governance research and ratings agency, has ranked Entergy in the top one percent among the nearly 4,200 companies surveyed for its most recent ratings release. As one of the top 42 companies, Entergy received an overall global rating of 10.0, the highest that GMI assigns. The top-ranking companies were recognized for having best-in-class corporate governance practices.

Dow Jones Sustainability World Index
The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes named Entergy to its exclusive World Index and North American Index. Entergy, which was one of only two U.S. utility companies selected to the World Index, has been named to the DJSI for eight consecutive years.

Rittenhouse Rankings - CEO Candor Survey
J. Wayne Leonard, chairman and chief executive officer of Entergy Corporation, ranks second highest among CEOs for the candor and clarity of his letter to shareholders, according to the latest analysis conducted by Rittenhouse Rankings, Inc. of the annual letters from CEOs of 100 companies listed in the Fortune 500. Leonard is the only utility CEO to have been ranked among the top 25 for seven consecutive years in the survey, which analyzes annual CEO letters and demonstrates a link between the quality of the letter’s content and a company’s performance. Leonard is also one of only three CEOs to make the top five in each of the last three surveys.

Chartwell Inc. - Best Practices Award for Serving Low-Income Customers
Entergy Corporation received Chartwell Inc.’s Best Practices Award for Serving Low-Income Customers for Entergy’s "exceptional" commitment and innovative approach to helping poverty-stricken customers move toward self-sufficiency. Entergy representatives received the award during a Chartwell-sponsored conference on methods utilities can use to help low-income customers. Chartwell provides independent information services to the utility and energy industry.

Institutional Investor magazine - Nation's Best CEOs
J. Wayne Leonard, Entergy Corporation's chairman and chief executive officer, is one of the nation’s “Best CEOs” and among the top five leaders in the power industry, according to rankings compiled by Institutional Investor magazine. It is the sixth consecutive year the prestigious magazine has ranked Leonard among the top CEOs in the nation. He has established a record-setting performance as the only power industry CEO to make the rankings every year since they began in 2004. In addition, Entergy’s investor relations department was named one of the best in the country.

Edison Electric Institute - Emergency Recovery Award and Emergency Assistance Award
Entergy Corporation won two national awards for its work restoring power after hurricanes Gustav and Ike and for helping two utilities recover from severe weather. It is the 11th consecutive year Entergy has received storm response awards from the Edison Electric Institute (EEI).

Entergy received an EEI Emergency Recovery Award for restoring power to more than 1.6 million customers following Gustav and Ike, which struck less than two weeks apart in September 2008. It also received EEI’s Emergency Assistance Award for helping Public Service of Oklahoma following a December 2007 ice storm and AEP Texas after Hurricane Dolly in July 2008.

Entergy is the only company to be honored every year since the EEI Emergency Response Awards were first presented in 1998. Entergy has now won four awards for its efforts restoring power to its own customers and nine awards for assisting other utilities repair their systems.

Corporate Responsibility Officer Magazine - 10 Best Corporate Citizens
Corporate Responsibility Officer magazine named Entergy Corporation as one of the top ten corporate citizens in the United States. For the second time in three years, Entergy was the highest-ranking utility company on CRO’s honored list.

Storebrand - Best in Class for Environmental and Social Performance
Entergy was honored as Best in Class for environmental and social performance by Storebrand, a Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) financial services company. Only 14 companies were chosen as Best in Class for the 2009 analysis with Entergy being one of only two U.S.-based companies included on the list. Storebrand’s ranking is based on an analysis of 53 companies worldwide that represent the electric utilities industry, independent power producers and energy traders.

The Sustainability Yearbook - 2009 Bronze Class

The Sustainability Yearbook, one of the world's most insightful publications on corporate sustainability and the related challenges and opportunities for companies, recognized Entergy for the 2009 edition. Each year the 2,500 largest companies in the world (as reflected in the Dow Jones Wilshire Global Index) are invited to participate in Sustainable Asset Management's Corporate Sustainability Assessment. Texas Public Relations Association - Silver Spur
Entergy was awarded the Texas Public Relations Association Silver Spur in the Crisis Communications category for its Hurricane Ike communications efforts.

2008

Piccadilly Restaurant’s Vendor of the Year award Entergy Louisiana, LLC and Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, L.L.C. earned Piccadilly Restaurant’s first-ever Vendor of the Year award on Wednesday in recognition of the work the two utility companies did to restore power across Louisiana following hurricanes Gustav and Ike.

Platts Global Energy Awards - Award of Excellence

Entergy received a special Award of Excellence at the 10th annual Platts Global Energy Awards for its “extraordinary track record of standout performances year after year” over the past decade.

Entergy, one of only four companies worldwide to receive the special award, was cited for being a finalist 39 times in the Platts Global Energy Awards contest, far more than any other energy company.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index 2008-2009
For the seventh time, the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes again named Entergy Corporation to its exclusive Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and Dow Jones Sustainability North American Index. Entergy was the only U.S. utility selected to the world index for the third consecutive year.

Chairman and CEO J. Wayne Leonard’s 2006 annual letter to shareholders has been honored for its candor and the clarity of its message. Rittenhouse Rankings CEO Candor Survey rated Leonard’s letter second best among the 100 Fortune 500 companies included in the annual review of CEO’s letters to shareholders.

IR Magazine Awards
Entergy was the top ranked utility in a recent investor perception study for the 2008 IR Magazine Awards in association with The Wall Street Journal and Barron’s. The study was based on input from approximately 2,600 analysts, brokers and portfolio managers. Entergy ranked 37th out of the top 100 rated companies.

Corporate Responsibility Officer Magazine- 100 Best Corporate Citizens
Entergy was named one of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens for 2008 by CRO magazine. Entergy finished 17th in the ninth annual ranking of U.S.-based corporate citizens based on the weighted average of rankings in eight categories: climate change, employee relations, environment, financial, governance, human rights, lobbying and philanthropy. 

Edison Electric Institute's Emergency Assistance Award 
Entergy Corporation received its 10th straight award from the Edison Electric Institute for restoring power following extreme storms. The latest award recognizes Entergy’s help returning power to 46,000 Public Service of Oklahoma customers after a January 2007 ice storm.

Entergy has received either EEI’s Emergency Storm Response or its Emergency Assistance awards for 10 consecutive years. It is the only company to be honored each year since the awards were created. Entergy has won three Emergency Storm Response Awards for its efforts restoring power to its own customers and eight awards for assisting other utilities repairing their systems.

Edison Electric Institute’s Advocacy Excellence Award
Entergy received the Edison Electric Institute’s Advocacy Excellence Award for its Low-Income Initiatives, a variety of programs aimed at helping the 20 to 30 percent of Entergy customers living in poverty across its four-state utility service territory.

Entergy’s Low Income Initiatives received the Platinum Award for Community Relations from the League of American Communications Professionals. The entry received the highest ranking in its category of Community Relations.

U.S. Chamber of Commerce Business Civic Leadership Center - Corporate Citizenship Award
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Business Civic Leadership Center awarded Entergy Corporation a Corporate Citizenship Award in the category of U.S. Community Service.

Carbon Disclosure Project - Best in Class
The Carbon Disclosure Project honored Entergy Corporation as "Best in Class" in its approach to climate change disclosure. This marks the fourth consecutive time Entergy has been recognized by the CDP, which encompasses over 315 global investors with more than $41 trillion in assets.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency - 2007 Climate Protection Award
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recognized Entergy and 30 other individuals, organizations and companies from around the world for outstanding efforts to protect the Earth's climate and stratospheric ozone layer.

Corporate Responsibility Officer Magazine- Best Corporate Citizen in Utility Industry
Corporate Responsibility Officer magazine selected Entergy Corporation for its 10 Best Corporate Citizens in 2007, an annual list that provides clear visibility to corporate citizenship leaders within the chemical, energy, financial, media and utility industries. For the utility industry, Entergy ranked number one out of 88 North American companies evaluated.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index

For an unprecedented sixth consecutive year, the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes named Entergy Corporation to the exclusive Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and the Dow Jones Sustainability North American Index. Entergy was the only U.S. utility selected to the world index, and one of only 16 utilities chosen worldwide.Launched in 1999, the DJSI tracks the financial, environmental and social performance of leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide and selects companies whose overall performance scores are in the top 10 percent for their sector. The DJSI World covers the top 10 percent of the world’s 2,500 biggest companies in 58 different sectors. The DJSI North America selects the top 20 percent in each industry sector from a pool of the 500 largest companies in 47 different sectors. Listing on the indexes is based on a thorough assessment of general and industry-specific criteria, which is then verified by an external auditor. In 2007, Entergy accompanies an elite group of 52 U.S. companies honored by the DJSI World, and is one of only 11 utilities selected by the DJSI North America.

 Top Company for Investor Relations in the Utility Industry - Greenwich Associates
Investment experts have ranked Entergy Corporation among the best companies in the United States – and the very best in the utility industry – for effectiveness of their corporate investor relations programs.

The market research firm Greenwich Associates, which provides research and consulting to global financial-services companies, conducted its annual survey in early 2007 of more than 700 investment analysts. The survey ranks a public company's investor relations efforts against industry peers.

Entergy ranked at the top of the list in the utility industry and finished third of all the approximately 200 public companies across the country receiving 10 or more survey evaluations, the minimum number needed to be included in the rankings.

National Fuel Funds Network - Best Overall Fundraising Efforts
Entergy was honored at the 23rd Annual National Fuel Funds Network Conference in Nashville for the best overall fundraising efforts.

Nuclear Energy Institute - Top Industry Practice Awards
Entergy Nuclear received three of 14 Top Industry Practice (TIP) Awards presented at the 2007 Nuclear Energy Assembly hosted by the Nuclear Energy Institute, including the B. Ralph Sylvia Best of the Best Award for success in achieving safety enhancements and cost-saving efficiencies throughout the company’s nuclear power plant operations. TIP awards rank among the nuclear energy industry’s most prestigious recognitions.

InformationWeek - Top 250 Innovators
Entergy was ranked 121st in InformationWeek's 19th annual ranking of the nation's most innovative users of information technology.

Forbes list of America’s Most Trustworthy Companies
Entergy was named to the Forbes list of America’s Most Trustworthy Companies for its corporate governance practices and accounting transparency. Entergy was the only electric utility to make the list, which was drawn from 8,000 public companies.

Edison Electric Institute - Outstanding Electric Company Customer Service - National Accounts
For the ninth consecutive year, national account customers across the U.S. singled out Entergy as one of the electric utility companies offering the best customer service. The award was presented during the tenth annual Customer Service Awards program at EEI's Spring National Accounts Workshop.

Edison Electric Institute's Emergency Assistance Award and Advocacy Excellence Award
The Edison Electric Institute again recognized Entergy for performance in two areas. Entergy won EEI’s Emergency Assistance Award for outstanding effort to restore power for Ameren customers in the wake of back-to-back severe thunderstorms that struck parts of Missouri and central Illinois during the summer of 2006. And Entergy’s multifaceted program of advocacy was selected as a winner of EEI’s Advocacy Excellence Award.

Entergy has won either EEI’s “Emergency Assistance” or “Emergency Response” award for nine consecutive years, every year the awards have been offered. It is the only utility in the country to do so.

Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company for 2006
Entergy was named a Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company for 2006. The Platts Top 250 measures financial performance by examining each company's assets, revenues, profits, and return on invested capital. Entergy ranked 86 in overall global performance, 21 in the electric utility worldwide category, and 34 overall in the Americas region category.

Storebrand Investments SRI 

Carbon Disclosure Project -- Climate Leadership Index
Entergy Corp. was honored as “Best in Class” for its approach to climate change by the Carbon Disclosure Project, a coalition of global investors with more than $31.5 trillion in assets.

The CDP report is a survey of the world’s 500 largest companies regarding climate change. In the report, Entergy was included in the “Climate Leadership Index,” a prestigious index for global corporations addressing the challenges of global warming.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes selected Entergy Corporation as the only U.S. utility for listing on the highly-regarded Dow Jones Sustainability Index – World. Entergy also is the only U.S. utility to make the DJSI five years in a row.

The DJSI is a listing of the companies whose overall environmental, social and economic sustainability performance scores were in the top 10 percent for their sector. Dow Jones evaluated 1,200 of the world’s largest companies in 58 different sectors.

PR Week - Crisis Communications Award and Overall Public Relations Performance of the Year
For its response to hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Entergy Corporate Communications won PR Week's crisis communications award for 2005 and was also awarded the top prize for overall public relations performance of the year. PR Week praised Entergy’s hurricane communications work as “among the great crisis responses of all time.”

It was the first time any crisis communications honoree had ever won the top award. "A corporation's crisis response depends a great deal on its preparation," the magazine said in a special edition. "But Entergy Corporation was faced with a series of events that few could have anticipated—ones that directly impacted customers, employees and shareholders alike.”

Institutional Investor Magazine - Top Electric Utility for Investor Relations Communications
Institutional Investor magazine named Entergy the top electric utility company in the country for effective investor relations communications. The magazine’s annual ranking of companies in 41 industry sectors selects “buy side” and “sell side” winners based on the views of more than 1,100 securities analysts, portfolio managers and institutional investors. Entergy was the winner in both categories.

Public Relations Society of America - Silver Anvil
Entergy Corporate Communications was honored with the "Silver Anvil," the highest award presented by the Public Relations Society of America, for its performance during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

American Business Awards - Best Employee Video
"Restoring Hope," a video produced during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita to salute Entergy's employees, received recognition from the American Business Awards as the best employee video of 2005.

League of American Communications Professionals - Bronze Award
Entergy's Power of Hope Fund, which was established by Entergy in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita to help displaced people transition from temporary housing back into permanent housing, won a League of American Communications Professionals Bronze award in 2006.

Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals - MarCom Creative Awards

Women of Color magazine honored 12 Entergy employees as “2005 Women of Color Technology All Stars” and “Rising Stars.”  The awards celebrate the accomplishments of women of color in business and technology.

The Black Professionals Magazine "Top 25 Companies for African Americans"
Entergy selected as one of the top 25 companies among 500 major American corporations polled. The award recognizes Entergy's focus on African American representation in senior and middle management, corporate board diversity and overall workforce diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Entergy Corporation again successfully met the stringent qualifications and criteria to be selected for listing on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for 2006. This is the fourth year in a row that Entergy has been selected for listing, and the company is one of only two U.S. electricity sector companies listed on the index.

Edison Electric Institute - The Edison Award
Entergy Corporation's superior operational and financial results, as well as increased productivity and shareholder returns, earned it the electric power industry's highest honor, the Edison Award, for the second time. Entergy also won the 2002 Edison Award for business leadership and nuclear operational excellence.

Edison Electric Institute - Supplier Diversity Award
Entergy was awarded with the industry's 2005 Supplier Diversity Award by The Edison Electric Institute. This award, which began in 1985, goes to the company that displays the highest level of leadership and commitment to ensuring the active participation of minority and women-businesses in the American economic system.

Entergy is the only utility in the nation to do so.

Edison Electric Institute's Advocacy Excellence Award
Entergy won the Edison Electric Institute’s "Advocacy Excellence Award" for its comprehensive and innovative advocacy program to educate the public about the safety, security and importance of the Indian Point Energy Center in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.

Governance Metrics International - Perfect Score
Entergy received the highest rating of 10 for corporate governance from Governance Metrics International, the corporate governance research and ratings agency. Only 34 companies out of a total of 3,220 companies worldwide received the top rating in the most recent ratings cycle.

Department of Labor Exemplary Voluntary Efforts Award
Entergy Corporation has been honored with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Exemplary Voluntary Efforts Award. The award recognizes Entergy's various initiatives to maximize the potential of its employees, remove barriers to success and invest in building effective communities in the areas the company serves.

Greenwich Associates Investor Relations Rating
Greenwich Associates, a research-based consulting firm in the institutional financial services field, rated Entergy as one of the top fifteen companies across America in the investor relations field. Entergy was ranked number six and was the only utility among the top fifteen companies.

The New York Urban League - Champions of Diversity Award
The New York Urban League recognized Entergy as the recipient of the organization’s first Champions of Diversity Award – an honor given to corporations for their outstanding corporate citizenry, as well as their hiring, vending, promotion and philanthropic practices. Entergy was selected based on programs established by the company to demonstrate its commitment to inclusion, such as the Supplier Diversity program, employee diversity training, diversity and inclusion council system and the company’s philanthropic initiatives

Profiles in Diversity Journal - Top Ten Companies for Innovation in Diversity Awards
Entergy ranked ninth for the creation of its first companywide Diversity and Inclusion Scorecard, a collaborative effort developed by line managers, the Talent Management and Inclusion department, and members of the company’s 20-plus employee-led diversity and inclusion councils. Entergy's Mid South IDA partnership with the Foundation for the Mid South was recognized with an honorable mention (community relations category) in the 2004 Corporate Social Responsibility Award. The national award, which is sponsored annually by PR Newswire, recognizes excellence in corporate social responsibility.

Diversity Best Practices CEO Leadership Award
Entergy CEO J. Wayne Leonard was named as a recipient of the "Diversity Best Practices' CEO Leadership Award" for his ongoing commitment to creating an environment of diversity and inclusion for Entergy's employees, customers and suppliers.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Entergy was notified on Sept. 2, 2004 that it had again successfully met the stringent qualifications and criteria to be selected for listing on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for 2005. This is the third year in a row that Entergy has been selected for the listing, and the company is one of only three U.S. electric utilities to be listed on the index.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index is similar to other index funds; however, DJSI listed companies must not only demonstrate strong financial performance, but must also show outstanding leadership in environmental and social commitment.

Listing as a DJSI company is a significant achievement in Entergy’s quest to be viewed not only as a company with outstanding financial performance, but also as an environmental leader in the utility industry and a company committed to the communities where it does business.

Community Action Partnership, a national organization dedicated to fighting poverty, honored Entergy Corporation's Chief Executive Officer J. Edison Electric Institute's Emergency Assistance Award
Entergy has won its sixth Edison Electric Institute emergency award in a row. EEI honored the company with its "Emergency Assistance Award" for its aid in restoring electricity to customers of Dominion Virginia Power and Baltimore Gas & Electric Co. in the wake of massive damage caused by Hurricane Isabel in 2003. The award is presented annually and acknowledges outstanding efforts to help restore electric service that has been disrupted by severe weather conditions or other natural events.

Platts/BusinessWeek Global Energy Awards
Entergy Corporation and its CEO J. Wayne Leonard received top honors at the prestigious Platts/BusinessWeek Global Energy Awards in December 2003. Entergy Corporation was named the "Global Energy Company of the Year," and Leonard was recognized as the energy industry's "CEO of the Year."

This marks the second and third Platts/BusinessWeek Global Energy Award Entergy has won. In 2002, Entergy was named Platts/BusinessWeek's Power Company of the Year for its nuclear growth strategy.

In selecting the Energy Company of the Year, the judges looked for overall excellence in the production of energy. The range and extent of a company's activities--its diversity, scope, technological innovation, and environmental concern--are pivotal for this award, as are the traditional values of care for the consumer and efficiency.

Georgetown University Business Leader of the Year
The undergraduate program of the Robert Emmett McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University named Entergy Corporation's Chief Executive Officer J. Wayne Leonard as the Business Leader of the Year in October 2003. Leonard delivered the keynote speech at the McDonough School’s annual Business Day on the Responsibilities of Leadership. The McDonough School has honored a Business Leader of the Year since 1981, in recognition of outstanding leadership in the business community and service to others.

Southeastern Electric Exchange Industry Excellence Awards
Entergy won second place in the distribution category at the recent Southeastern Electric Exchange Industry Excellence 2003 Awards Program for the company’s work developing the Automated Mapping and Facilities Management system.

Entergy won the award on describing the decision to implement a state of the art facility management system that would improve and optimize the process of creating, maintaining and utilizing distribution facilities data. The AM/FM system replaced the problem-plagued process of using multiple manual and computerized systems used to organize and gather distribution data.

Governance Metrics International - Perfect Score
Entergy Corporation was among only 22 companies in 2003 worldwide that received a perfect score from Governance Metrics International, the corporate governance research and ratings agency. GMI announced new ratings for 2,100 companies globally. GMI’s rating system incorporates hundreds of data points across six broad categories of analysis: board accountability, financial disclosure and internal controls, executive compensation, shareholder rights, ownership base, takeover provisions, plus corporate behavior and social responsibility.

Institutional Investor Magazine’s “Best CEO” in Utility Sector
In Institutional Investor magazine’s 2003 survey of portfolio managers and securities analysts, Entergy CEO J. Wayne Leonard was named one of the Best CEOs in America, and he was the top utility CEO to make the list. The publication surveyed 1,374 professionals at 405 investment firms representing $4.5 trillion in equity assets and listed the winners in 62 industry sectors. The executives were judged on corporate governance and several other factors: growth in earnings, stock price, the ability to manage mergers, communicate with shareholders, take companies into new directions and foster teamwork.

Young Leadership Council 2003 Role Model of the Year
In September 2003, Entergy Corporation's Chief Executive Officer J. Wayne Leonard was named the 2003 Role Model of the Year by the Young Leadership Council based upon his “enhancement of the quality of life in the New Orleans area, and his standing as a role model for others in the city.”

Edison Electric Institute's Emergency Assistance Award
Providing quick and critical assistance to neighboring companies in the wake of a devastating ice storm won Entergy Corporation the Edison Electric Institute's Emergency Assistance Award for 2002. Entergy was honored for assistance provided to Kansas City Power & Light and Oklahoma Gas & Electric following a severe winter storm that ripped through Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri in 2002.

Edison Electric Institute - Outstanding Electric Company Customer Service - National Accounts
For the fifth consecutive year, national account customers across the U.S. singled out Entergy as one of the electric utility companies offering the best customer service.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Entergy successfully met the stringent qualifications and criteria to remain listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for 2004. This is the second year in a row that Entergy has been selected for the listing, and the company is one of only three U.S. electric utilities to be listed on the index.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index is similar to other index funds; however, DJSI listed companies must not only demonstrate strong financial performance, but must also show outstanding leadership in environmental and social commitment.

Listing as a DJSI company is a significant achievement in Entergy's quest to be viewed not only as a company with outstanding financial performance, but also as an environmental leader in the utility industry and a company committed to the communities where it does business.

Fortune Magazine - America's Most Admired Companies List
America's Most Admired Companies: Entergy ranked fourth on the Utility Industry List. The list recognizes companies for innovation, financial stability, and ability to lure and keep the smartest people.

Edison Electric Institute Index Award
Entergy was honored as the top performer in the Edison Electric Institute’s Index of Shareholder-Owned Electric Utilities for the past five years.

PR Week
Entergy won PR Week’s “Public Affairs Program of the Year Award” for its activities to educate the public about the safety, security and importance of the Indian Point Energy Center in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.

American Business Awards 
The American Business Awards awarded Entergy a "Stevie" (the business world’s own "Oscar") for "Best Communications Team" for work during Hurricanes Isidore and Lili in 2002.

Reuters Institutional Investor Survey
Entergy’s investor relations program was ranked the best among energy companies according to Reuters Institutional Investor survey of buy-side analysts.

Energy and Power Risk Management Magazine Awards
Entergy-Koch Trading was recognized for "Corporate Leadership of the Year." The award noted EKT’s commercial success and leadership.

Southwest Electric Safety Exchange
Entergy Texas received several awards for significant safety accomplishments in 2002.

Arkansas Wildlife Federation
"Corporate Conservationist of the Year Award." Entergy was recognized for its role in the reforestation of more than 600 acres of marginal cropland.

Economic Development Award of Excellence

Entergy Texas received the "Torch Award" for demonstrating high ethical standards in the marketplace.

American Red Cross Southeast Louisiana Chapter
"Disaster Fundraiser of the Year" award – for Entergy’s philanthropic contribution and leadership to the hurricane relief effort during the 2002 Hurricane Season.

Oswego County Business Excellence Award
Awarded to Entergy Nuclear Northeast for showing adaptation and growth in a competitive business environment, providing quality service and customer choice, exhibiting ongoing community service and support.

International Economic Development Council
Entergy Arkansas received the best overall campaign memento award.

State of Arkansas
The Remmel Dam power plant received a special award from the state of Arkansas for achieving 50 years without a lost-time accident. Remmel Dam is the first facility in the state to receive such an award.

Presidential Award for Leadership in Federal Energy Management
This award honors federal agency energy management teams for their leadership and efforts to promote and improve federal energy and water management and conservation.

National Energy Resources Organization
"Energy Conservation Award" in recognition of outstanding efforts to help low-income customers conserve energy through weatherization and other conservation programs targeted at those most in need.

Platts/BusinessWeek Global Energy Awards
Recognized as the "Global Power Company of the Year" at the prestigious Platts/BusinessWeek Global Energy Awards held in New York City. The international panel of judges recognized Entergy for its nuclear growth strategy that has created one of the nation's most efficient and safest fleet of nuclear plants. The award also recognized the company's commitment to the environment. The judges recognized that by increasing megawatts and efficiency, production costs and ultimately Entergy's customer costs are reduced; and by increasing the percentage of demand met by nuclear power, Entergy minimizes pollution emissions. Entergy currently owns the second largest fleet of nuclear plants in the U.S.

The Kelley Award, recognizing individual achievement on behalf of low-income families, is the Network's highest accolade. Nearly 25 percent of Entergy's 2.6 million customers qualify for federal assistance to the poor.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Entergy successfully met a set of stringent qualifications criteria and was added to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World (DJSI World). As of September, 2002, Entergy is one of only three U.S. utilities among 15 utilities worldwide listed on this 300-company index. Membership on the DJSI is awarded to those companies that score in the top ten percent of eligible companies in terms of economic, environmental and social performance. Entergy’s fossil operations support group and Lewis Creek Power Station received second place in the production category as a result of innovative welding repairs that saved an estimated $2 million in repair costs.
