E. Renae Conley - President & CEO, Entergy Louisiana, LLC and Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, LLC

E. Renae Conley was named president and chief executive officer of Entergy’s Louisiana utilities in 2000. Entergy Louisiana, LLC and Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, L.L.C. together serve over one million customers, and comprise the largest electric utility in the state.

She is responsible for the companies’ electric distribution systems, customer service, regulatory and governmental affairs, and economic development programs, as well as the companies’ financial performance.

Conley joined Entergy Corporation in 1999 as vice president of investor relations, where she was responsible for linking Entergy’s strategic vision with the financial expectations of Wall Street.

Her professional career includes a long list of leadership roles in the electric utility industry. She served as president of Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company, a subsidiary of Cinergy Corp. and as president and chief executive officer of Cadence, a joint venture of Cinergy, New Century Energies and Florida Progress. At Cinergy, she also was vice president of sales, and general manager of corporate communications and investor relations. Her wide background includes work in customer service, accounting, treasury and investor relations for PSI Energy. In 2004, she was recognized for the second consecutive year as a Key Woman in Energy in the Americas, a national honor bestowed on female executives for their contributions to the industry.

In the wake of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Conley was tapped to serve on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation. She also led the restoration effort after the back-to-back strikes of hurricanes Gustav and Ike, which caused more than 830,000 outages to Entergy Louisiana and Entergy Gulf States Louisiana customers. This was the fastest and safest restoration in company history.

A respected business leader and advocate for economic development, Conley serves on Lt. Governor Mitch Landrieu’s Cultural Economy Foundation Board. Through her work on the board of directors for the Council for a Better Louisiana, she promotes educational excellence initiatives that benefit Louisiana schoolchildren. She sits on the boards of Baton Rouge’s Istrouma Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Regional Economic Advisory Council, as well as the LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council as part of the Globalization Committee.

Conley has a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting and a master’s in business administration degree, both from Ball State University.
