Haley Fisackerly - President and CEO, Entergy Mississippi, Inc.
Haley Fisackerly serves as president and chief executive officer of Entergy Mississippi, Inc., an electric utility that serves more than 437,000 customers in 45 counties in Mississippi. He was named president and CEO in June 2008.
Fisackerly joined Entergy in 1995. Prior to his current role, he spent one year at Entergy Nuclear as the vice president of governmental and regulatory affairs. From 2002 to 2007, he served as Entergy Mississippi’s vice president of customer operations. In this role, Fisackerly created the customer operations organization by combining economic development, customer service and commercial and industrial accounts functions. The reorganization leveraged and enhanced the capabilities of each department, producing greater efficiencies, cross-discipline support and teamwork. Fisackerly also led initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and raise Entergy Mississippi’s visibility in the community, and he was a key member of the company’s leadership team during the Hurricane Katrina restoration effort.
Under Fisackerly’s leadership, Entergy Mississippi has earned recognition for the company’s economic development efforts. The Mississippi Economic Development Council chose Entergy Mississippi as a district winner of the Governor’s Cup in 2009. The company’s economic development team has also been recognized by Site Selection magazine, a national publication covering the business development and corporate real estate industries, for five years in a row.
Also during Fisackerly’s tenure as president, Entergy Mississippi’s Destination Education program, launched to enhance the state’s public education system, was named a finalist in the Platts Global Energy Awards. The company’s partnerships with Mississippi schools also received two 2012 Governor’s Awards of Distinction from the Mississippi Association of Partners in Education, the organization’s most prestigious tribute.
In addition, Entergy Mississippi’s customer satisfaction scores as measured by J.D. Power and Associates have steadily risen under Fisackerly’s leadership J.D. Power and Associates has recognized the company’s customer satisfaction improvement at a national level.
Fisackerly grew up in Columbus, Miss., and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University. He earned a master’s degree in public policy administration with an emphasis in executive, legislative and regulatory management from George Washington University.
Before joining Entergy, Fisackerly served for several years on the staff of U.S. Senator Thad Cochran, where he managed Cochran’s Washington office. He also assisted the senator with economic development projects in Mississippi as well as legislative matters related to energy policy, the environment and interior appropriations. Fisackerly left Senator Cochran’s office in 1995 to join Entergy’s Washington, D.C. office. In 1999, he moved to Little Rock, Ark., where he was director of system regulatory strategy. He returned to Mississippi in June 2002.
Fisackerly serves on numerous statewide and Jackson-area boards, including but not limited to the Mississippi Museum of Art, Mississippi Works, Mississippi Energy Institute, Mississippi State University Foundation Board of Directors, The Nature Conservancy – Mississippi Chapter Board of Trustees, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, BankFirst Financial Services Board of Directors and the Dixie National Sale of Junior Champions. He is also currently serving as board chairman of the USA International Ballet Competition and chair of the Mississippi Economic Council. Fisackerly also serves on the steering committee for the Mississippi History Museum and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum. He and his wife Allison have two sons and live in Jackson.
