Bill Mohl - President & CEO, Entergy Louisiana, LLC and Entergy Gulf States
Louisiana, L.L.C.
Bill Mohl is the president and chief executive officer of Entergy Louisiana,
LLC and Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, L.L.C., which together serve over one
million electric customers in the state. He is responsible for the companies’
electric transmission and distribution systems, customer service, regulatory
and governmental relations, economic development programs and charitable
contributions, as well as the companies’ financial performance. He also has
operational responsibility for Entergy’s gas distribution business in
Louisiana.
Prior to this role, Mohl held numerous leadership positions with several different energy companies over the last 29 years, with various responsibilities including but not
limited to business development, asset optimization, wholesale power
operations, fuel and generation procurement, marketing and trading and
commercial negotiations.
Mohl joined Entergy in 2002 where he was responsible for the procurement of
all limited and long-term fuel and generation resources for the regulated
Entergy utility companies. In 2007, he added responsibility for all utility
supply planning and operation functions including but not limited to the
strategic resource planning for the Entergy system, and the real time dispatch
of the generation resources to meet the needs of the Entergy utility
companies. Mohl played an instrumental role in the implementation of the
companies’ “Portfolio Transformation Strategy” which resulted in the addition
of numerous long term resources to the portfolios of the Entergy utility
companies.
Prior to his employment with Entergy, Mohl held several senior leadership
roles with Koch Industries Inc. (“KII”) in Houston, Texas from 1995 through
2002, including director of power operations for Koch Energy Trading (“KET”),
vice president of KET, chief operating officer for Koch Midstream Services and
chief operating officer for Koch Investment Group.
From 1982 through 1995, Mohl was employed by Public Service Company of
Colorado (“PSCo”) (now an affiliate of Xcel Energy) in Denver, Colorado, where
he held a variety of roles in the power system operations and wholesale market
areas.
Mohl holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration and finance
and a master’s of business administration degree from Regis University in
Denver.
