What do you like best about working at Entergy?

I have enjoyed the opportunity to work on projects independently, being encouraged to voice my opinions, and having the opportunity to learn more about the industry while being exposed to a corporate environment. I think the experience has been extremely valuable to both my education and my professional development.

What are some of your current job responsibilities?

Support and maintaining the advance EMS applications including State Estimator, Powerflow, Contingency Analysis, RFCALC, Load Forecast, DTS and Voltage Stability analysis.

Ensure the day to day accuracy of the results produced by these applications and maintain and tune the Network and Generation models in EMS.

Calculate the AFC values and data inputs used in the process.

Support the real time operations by providing training to the operators on EMS applications and DTS.

Responsible for cross checking the changes done in EMS databases, ensure that system models are always up to date, and serve as an on call person to provide support to operations during non business hours.

Interface with different groups in Entergy to coordinate models and implement projects.
