Corporate Responsibility Officer magazine named Entergy Corporation as one of the top 10 corporate citizens in the U.S. For the second time in three years, Entergy was the highest-ranking utility company on the Corporate Responsibility Officer list.

Dow Jones Sustainability World Index

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes named Entergy to its exclusive World Index and North American Index. Entergy has been named to the DJSI for eight consecutive years and was one of only two U.S. utility companies selected to the 2009 World Index.

Edison Electric Institute –
Emergency Recovery Award and Emergency Assistance Award

Edison Electric Institute awarded Entergy two national awards for its work restoring power after hurricanes Gustav and Ike and for helping two utilities recover from severe weather. It is the 11th consecutive year Entergy has received storm response awards from EEI.

Fortune magazine –
World’s Most Admired Companies

Fortune magazine ranked Entergy Corp. number eight on its most admired list of companies in the electric and gas industry.

GovernanceMetrics International –
Top 1 Percent For Corporate Governance

GovernanceMetrics International, a corporate governance research and ratings agency, ranked Entergy in the top 1 percent among the nearly 4,200 companies surveyed for its most recent ratings release. As one of the top 42 companies, Entergy received an overall global rating of 10.0, the highest that GMI assigns. The top-ranking companies were recognized for having best-in-class corporate governance practices.

Minority Engineer magazine –
Top 50 Employers

Minority Engineer magazine named Entergy one of the nation’s Top 50 Employers. The company placed No. 29 in the ranking on the publication’s 18th annual list and is one of only two utilities recognized.

National Eagle Leadership Institute –
Annual Leadership Awards

The National Eagle Leadership Institute, a premier leadership development resource for African-American and Latino professionals and college students, presented its NELI Award to Entergy Corporation for stellar leadership in corporate responsibility and in recognition of the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Storebrand – Best in Class for Environmental and Social Performance

Storebrand, a Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) financial services company honored Entergy as Best in Class for environmental and social performance. Only 14 companies were chosen as Best in Class in the 2009 analysis with Entergy being one of only two U.S.-based companies included on the list.

Winrock International’s American Carbon Registry – Utility Excellence Award

American Carbon Registry presented Entergy with its Utility Excellence award for work to transparently report and reduce carbon emissions. The American Carbon Registry was the first private greenhouse gas registry in the U.S. and offers a voluntary offset program with strong standards for environmental integrity.
