Corporate and Foundation Giving

Entergy’s Corporate Giving programs include cash as well as in-kind contributions that address myriad community needs: arts and culture, community improvement and enrichment, education and literacy, and healthy families.

In addition, through the Environmental Stewardship Program (which takes place during spring), Entergy provides support for environmental initiatives.

Open Grants

Entergy’s Open Grants Program focuses on improving communities as a whole. We look for giving opportunities in the areas of arts and culture; community improvement/enrichment; and healthy families. While we will accept applications from educational and environmental programs, these areas are primarily funded through separate processes.

Community Partnership Grants

Entergy's Community Partnership Grants program awards up to $1,000 for projects that effectively impact education & literacy, community improvement/enrichment, healthy families, or arts & culture. Grants will be made only to the following types of organizations: 1) non-profit organizations that are tax-exempt under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code (“Tax Code”), or 2) schools, hospitals, governmental units and religious institutions providing programs that benefit the public at large. Each organization may submit only one application per year for a Community Partnership Grant. Any organization that has received a Community Partnership Grant for three consecutive years must wait one year before applying again. Organizations must be located within Entergy’s service territory.

Environmental Stewardship Grants

When it comes to the environment, it’s not enough to simply follow the letter of the law — sometimes more needs to be done. Thus, Entergy invests in environmental stewardship — activities, programs, or projects that go beyond compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Entergy actively seeks opportunities to fund innovative approaches to preserving and enhancing the environment.

United Way Campaigns

Hundreds of employee volunteers participate in the coordination of United Way campaigns company-wide.  A combination of employee and retiree gifts along with corporate dollars help United Way organizations in communities where Entergy’s customers and employees live and work.

Matching Educational Gifts

This program offers Entergy full-time employees and retirees the opportunity to assist the accredited universities, colleges, or secondary schools of their choice. Entergy will match dollar for dollar employee contributions from $25 to $3,000 annually for high schools, colleges and universities.

Customer Assistance Funds

Entergy’s Customer Assistance Funds (CAF) provide a mechanism for employees and customers to donate funds to assist elderly and disabled customers in paying their utility bills in times of financial emergencies. Entergy matches all employee and retiree contributions to the CAF dollar-for-dollar.

Community Connectors Volunteer Program

The need of an organization isn't always financial. Often people power is just as critical. Entergy's volunteer program, Community Connectors, recognizes and encourages the volunteer efforts of Entergy employees and retirees. In addition to providing communities with volunteer services, the Community Connectors program gives Entergy volunteers an opportunity to augment contributions to their communities financially with “Contributions for Connectors” grants.

Entergy Charitable Foundation

The Entergy Charitable Foundation (ECF) is a private foundation dedicated to supporting charitable organizations in the diverse communities where Entergy customers and employees live and work. The Foundation's goal is to support initiatives that help create and sustain thriving communities. ECF has a special focus on low-income initiatives as well as educational and literacy programs.
