Pilgrim Station is Going Green
October 14, 2009 is “Go Green Day”
at Pilgrim Station. Entergy will be the first nuclear utility to establish a
fleet team that is tasked specifically with reducing the impact on the
environment of office spaces and buildings at a nuclear site. Go Green will
engage and inspire employees to participate in this grassroots effort to help
identify energy inefficiencies.
Site VP Kevin Bronson noted, “Our production systems at Pilgrim have been set
up to be green, but our behaviors at work that affect the environment must
change as we learn more about the human impact of our actions.” Kevin
continued, “By reducing the demand for energy use, we can achieve those energy
conservation measures that will save on energy consumption and have a positive
affect on this planet for future generations.”
From New York:
"Women In Nuclear" and "Young Generation in Nuclear" from Entergy’s J. A.
FitzPatrick Nuclear Power facility cleaned up parks, the lakeshore and river
shoreline on Saturday, April 18, 2009 in Brietbeck Park, NY, along the Lake
