The
Weather Channel Offers Viewers Inside Look at Power Restoration
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The servicemen of
Entergy Arkansas, Inc. will take center stage as part of the primetime lineup in
a new series on The Weather Channel. The new docu-series called “Lights Out”
follows Entergy Arkansas crews as they go about the complex and sometimes
dangerous task of getting customers’ lights back on across the state.
“Our folks often face hazardous
weather conditions while working around energized power lines,” said Hugh
McDonald, president and chief executive officer for Entergy Arkansas, Inc. “We
appreciate The Weather Channel and the crews at CSE for telling the story of our
linemen and servicemen. I couldn’t be more proud that their dedication to
helping customers get their power back quickly and safely is being showcased on
national television.”
Produced by CSE productions, the
4-part series covers the work of Little Rock-based crews operating out of the
Baseline Service Center. The show captures the full spectrum of power
restoration from routine service calls to total devastation in the aftermath of
a Tornado. The first two parts are scheduled to air Saturday July 28 at 8 p.m.
and 8:30 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST) with repeat performances. The series
will conclude its run with two more shows on Saturday August 11 at 8 p.m. and
8:30 p.m. CST also with repeat performances. For more information on the full
