A Message from Supplier Diversity
At Entergy, we’re living up to our commitment to develop partnerships with
diverse suppliers.
Each day, we work with firms to help them understand Entergy’s business
practices, policies and requirements. In 2005, Edison Electric Institute
presented Entergy with its Supplier Diversity Award, given annually to
companies for leadership and commitment to ensuring the active participation
of minority- and women-owned business enterprises.
Commenting on that award, Electric Perspectives magazine wrote that Entergy
"was recognized for a wide variety of initiatives to expand business
opportunities for M/WBEs” including:
• Expanding the use of M/WBEs in non-traditional purchasing activities. •
Using a measurable, results-oriented process to establish annual procurement
goals. • Emphasizing its supplier diversity program and its goals and
objectives within the corporation and throughout all of its service areas •
And creating a ‘user friendly’ online registration Web site to review
potential suppliers.
Those continue to be among our key efforts, and we invite you to learn about
others. I also encourage you to ask your own business partners and other
companies who have direct experience with Entergy to tell you about their
experiences with the company’s supplier diversity program.
And when you’re ready to open the door to a potential future business
relationship with Entergy, there’s just one more thing we ask you to do—KNOCK.
We’ll answer.
