Organizations must be located within Entergy’s service territory. Please use the following links to determine if your project is located in an area that Entergy serves: Louisiana, Mississippi, or Texas. If you have questions about this, please contact the Community Partnership Grants Coordinator in your state.

Each organization may submit only one application per year for a Community Partnership Grant (CPG). Any organization that has received a CPG for three consecutive years must wait one year before applying again.

  • Groups without 501(c)(3) or similar* non-profit status

  • Administrative expenses (e.g., salaries, office equipment) or recurring expenses that exceed 15% of the requested amount

  • Utility Bills

  • Capital project funding (i.e., building campaigns)

  • Stipends, awards, refreshments or t-shirts

  • Political candidates or groups

  • Purchase of uniforms or trips for school-related organizations

  • Amateur sports teams

  • Grants to individuals or loans of any type

  • Any organization owned or operated by an employee of Entergy

How Grants are Judged

An advisory board consisting of educators and community representatives in a variety of specialized fields will judge all proposals based on the following criteria:

  • Approach: All proposals must demonstrate a thorough approach in working toward a solution to the identified need or issue.

  • Objectives: All goals must be realistic and clearly defined.

  • Benefits: The benefits of the project should be fully outlined, highlighting the desired results. All projects must demonstrate lasting benefits to the public.

  • Participation: Partnerships are encouraged. Proposals for community-based projects should detail the community’s local involvement.

  • Evaluation: Results must be measurable. Grant applications must contain a way to determine whether the desired results have been achieved. For example, specific milestones may be listed and a final report with a photograph of the finished project sent to the grant program administrator.

If You Have Questions

For more information please contact the Community Partnership Grants Coordinator in your state or the Corporate Contributions headquarters office at 504-576-6980.

* Most schools, hospitals, governmental units and religious institutions hold similar non-profit status and therefore are eligible. Volunteer fire departments with 501(c)(4) status are eligible as well.
