Hurricane Laura Restoration Update – 9/16/20 @ 10 a.m.

Crews are making significant progress in southwest Louisiana, crossing the 40,000 outage threshold yesterday. Crews expect to make power available to most customers affected by Hurricane Laura by Sept. 23. They expect to restore power to the remaining customers who can safely receive it by Sept. 30.

Hurricane Sally Update – 9/15/20 @ 9:45 a.m.

Hurricane Sally continues moving slowly toward the coast with sustained winds of 85 mph. With the forecast track shifting more to the east, the storm is expected to make landfall Sept. 16 near Biloxi, Mississippi or Mobile, Alabama.

Restoration workers in Louisiana and Mississippi continue monitoring and planning for the potential impacts of Tropical Storm Sally late today and tomorrow.

Hurricane Laura Restoration Update – 9/14/20 @ 9:30 a.m.

As of 9:30 a.m. Sept. 14, approximately 47,472 remain without power in Calcasieu and Cameron parishes in Louisiana. Outages numbers could fluctuate due to bad weather or other temporary causes.

Preparing for Tropical Storm Sally

Restoration workers in Louisiana and Mississippi are monitoring and planning for the potential impacts of Tropical Storm Sally over the next few days. Sally’s forecast track means torrential rain could be a major threat for parts of our territory in Louisiana and Mississippi.
