Arcs & Sparks Travels to Batesville
When the Home Depot in Batesville put out the call for community participation in a Children’s Safety Fair, it occurred to the local Entergy Arkansas team that Arcs & Sparks would be a perfect fit.
To prepare for the fair, Senior Lineman John Wilkins received training in Little Rock to operate the trailer-mounted Arcs & Sparks mini-distribution system. Wilkins and Journeyman Lineman Josh Sellers presented safety demonstrations for children and adults at the Safety Fair.
The main point of Arcs & Sparks is to impress upon the audience the importance of staying away from power lines. Electrical arcs are the highlight of the show and make quite an electrifying impression!
