Delta Utilities became your natural gas service provider on July 1, 2025.

General information

You will not need to take any action to continue your natural gas service. On July 1, 2025, your natural gas service was transferred to Delta Utilities.

Some financial information and secure data was not transferred, and you will need to re-register your sensitive payment information for things like autopay at Delta Utilities. More information and instructions will be communicated to you in your first Delta Utilities bill.

Billing information

Now that Entergy has closed the sale of its gas business, you will receive a final natural gas bill from Entergy. Future natural gas bills will come from Delta Utilities and payment should be remitted to Delta Utilities. For customers who also have electric service with Entergy, you will continue to receive bills from Entergy for your electric service.

For questions regarding your Entergy bill, contact Entergy at 1-800-368-3749, or self-serve at myEntergy.com or on Entergy’s mobile app.

For questions regarding your Delta Utilities bill, contact Delta Utilities at 1-833-DELTA-99 (1-833-335-8299) or visit their website at deltautilities.com.

Your natural gas rates will not change upon the transition to Delta Utilities. Delta Utilities will use the same rate structure in place at Entergy. Any future rate changes from Delta Utilities will follow the same approval process through the local and state regulatory authorities that oversee Entergy.

You will receive a collective bill from Delta Utilities for your natural gas service. You will also continue receiving a collective bill from Entergy for your electric service.

The first bill you receive from Delta Utilities for your natural gas service will be a paper bill. Shortly after your first paper bill, you will receive information on how to enroll in paperless billing with Delta Utilities.

If you have Entergy electric service and are enrolled in paperless billing, your electric account will remain on paperless billing.

Delta Utilities will offer a pick-a-date billing option in the future. Until that time, your natural gas bill from Delta Utilities will continue to be due 21 days after your bill has been postmarked. Customers will have the same amount of time to pay their natural gas bill that they currently have at Entergy. If you have electric service with Entergy, you will remain enrolled in pick-a-date billing at Entergy.

Levelized billing and equal pay

Levelized billing averages your monthly bill over a rolling twelve-month month period, so your bill is around the same amount each month. Every month the average is adjusted based on the most current month’s usage. Equal pay is a similar program that averages your monthly bill over a twelve-month period and is adjusted annually.

You will not be automatically enrolled in levelized billing or equal pay. Delta Utilities will provide more information on how to register for payment programs or payment arrangements in your first bill.

If you are enrolled in a payment program with Entergy prior to the sale, your Entergy electric account will remain unchanged.

If you are enrolled in Levelized Billing or Equal Pay, you accrue an “accumulated difference” which is the difference between your level bill amount and your actual usage charges.

  • Customers with electric and gas service with Entergy:
    • If the gas portion of your level bill payments is less than your actual gas usage charges when your gas account is transferred to Delta Utilities, the difference is owed to Entergy. Instead of requesting payment for this entire amount now, Entergy will spread it over the next 12 months by rolling it into your electric accumulated difference. This will display as two line items in the “Total Amount Due” section of your final gas bill:
      • Accumulated Diff Adjust Debit – gas accumulated difference owed to Entergy.
      • Accumulated Diff Adjust Credit – amount transferred to your electric accumulated difference.
      • The accumulated difference debit and adjustment credit should net to zero.
    • If the gas portion of your level bill payments exceeds your actual gas usage charges when your gas account is transferred to Delta Utilities, Entergy owes you the difference. This will be shown as an “Accumulated Difference” credit in “Current Month Energy Charges”.
  • Customers with only natural gas service with Entergy:
    • If your accumulated difference is a credit (meaning your level bill payments exceeded your actual usage charges at the time of the sale), the amount of your overpayment will be shown as a credit (-) in the “Total Amount Due” section of your bill. If the credit exceeds your bill, you will receive a refund check mailed to your billing address on file with Entergy.
    • If your accumulated difference is a debit (meaning your level bill payments are less than your actual usage charges at the time of the sale), you will see an accumulated difference debit and credit that net to zero.

Payment information

You will be able to pay your bill in similar ways that you pay for your service at Entergy, including online and in-person payments. Visit deltautilities.com to find a payment location near you.

Delta Utilities will offer similar in-person payment options as Entergy, allowing customers to make in-person payments at quick pay locations in your community. This means that most quick pay locations where Entergy customers can pay their utility bills today will also accept payments for your Delta Utilities bill.

For customers with a natural gas only account: The entire deposit will be transferred to Delta Utilities.

For customers with a combined natural gas and electric account:

  • The portion needed to cover your electric service will remain on your electric account.
  • The portion that exceeds what is needed for your electric service will be sent to Delta Utilities for your natural gas account.

Entergy will not return any cash deposits to customers as part of the transition of your natural gas utility.

Entergy will contact you directly if the amount of your deposit should be reduced or released.

For natural gas service, you will need to enroll in autopay with Delta Utilities after the transition date.

Autopay for electric service with Entergy will not be impacted and no customer action is required to continue automatic payments for your electric service.

Please contact Entergy at 1-800-368-3749 for payment assistance options.

For customers who have both electric and natural gas accounts with Entergy, the installment plan/extension will continue.

For customers who only have natural gas service with Entergy, the plan will end, and the full balance will come due with your final gas bill. You can continue to make payments up to 120 days after the bill due date and if you need more than 120 days please contact us.

Existing financial assistance payments will remain with Entergy with any credits either applied to your active electric account or refunded to the financial assistance agency.

Delta Utilities will offer its own payment assistance programs for customers. Visit deltautilities.com to learn more.
