Entergy Mississippi storm update – 4/14/24, 9 a.m.

We thank you for your patience while we restored your power as a result of storms that began April 9. Restoration is complete and electrical power has been restored to all customers who can safely receive power.

Entergy Mississippi storm update – 4/13/24, 10 a.m.

Continued restoration progress was made overnight and as of 9 a.m., 1,431 customers remain without power from this week’s severe storms and high winds. As of 9 a.m. Saturday, 85,596 customers have had their power restored.

Entergy Mississippi storm update – 4/12/24, 11 a.m.

Significant restoration progress was made overnight and as of 8 a.m., 6,844 customers remain without power from this week’s severe storms and high winds. As of 8 a.m. Friday, 69,966 customers have had their power restored.

Entergy Mississippi storm update – 4/11/24, 8 p.m.

Crews continue to make progress on the restoration process since Tuesday evening and Wednesday’s severe storms caused extensive damage to facilities across Entergy Mississippi’s service area. The National Weather Service confirmed two tornadoes impacted customers in Hinds and Madison counties.

Entergy Mississippi storm update – 4/11/24, 2 p.m.

Several thunderstorms, hail, lightning, high winds and at least two confirmed tornadoes passed through the state Tuesday night and continued throughout Wednesday, causing extensive damage to our facilities across Entergy Mississippi’s service area. At peak, 33,600 customers have lost power from the damaging storms. As of 2 p.m. Thursday, there are approximately 22,000 customers without power.

Following the four-day winter weather event impacting our service area, the majority of our customers have been restored. Our crews continue to safely restore power to the remaining customers impacted this major winter weather system that brought extreme cold, snow and icing across parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

Entergy prepared for colder months ahead

As hurricane season came to an official end on the last day of November, cooler temps are just starting to arrive, with colder weather expected over the holidays and into the new year. Even if we live or work where extremely cold temperatures are not persistent, it's still important to be prepared for freezing and inclement weather. As we know, cold snaps can happen without much warning.
