At Entergy, we believe being a good neighbor goes far beyond delivering affordable, reliable power. It’s about showing up, lending a hand and giving our time to help strengthen the communities we call home. That’s why volunteerism is at the heart of how we partner with Louisiana.
Every day, our employees across the state bring their energy to more than just their jobs – they bring it to schools, food banks, community centers and countless other local causes. Whether it’s planting trees, mentoring students, distributing meals or helping rebuild after a storm, we believe service is one of the most powerful tools we have to make a difference.
Just recently, Entergy employees rolled up their sleeves at the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana, where they spent the day packing meals for families facing food insecurity. Together, they prepared thousands of meal kits that are now on their way to homes across the region. It’s one small example of how our employees are making a big difference – fueled by compassion and a shared commitment to helping our neighbors.
In 2024 alone, Entergy employees across Louisiana volunteered nearly 53,000 hours, a contribution valued at approximately $1,770,000. That’s time spent helping people get back on their feet, empowering the next generation and building the kind of resilient neighborhoods where we all want to live.
Volunteerism also amplifies the impact of our partnerships with nonprofit organizations. From long-standing relationships with groups like United Way and Habitat for Humanity to local initiatives driven by employee passion, these efforts multiply the good we can do together. In many cases, we pair volunteer hours with grants to increase the reach and sustainability of these programs.
And our commitment is growing. Through the Louisiana 100 Plan, we’re expanding our focus on community partnership by encouraging even more employee-led volunteer projects across the state. Because when we act together, we can help create stronger, healthier and more connected communities – powered by people who care.
This is what it means to be a partner. Because we’re from Louisiana, and for Louisiana.
