Entergy Louisiana, alongside local elected officials, community leaders and project partners, celebrated the start of a major grid resilience project in St. Bernard Parish, marking another milestone in the company’s commitment to building a stronger, more reliable and affordable electric system for southeast Louisiana.

Nearly 100,000 truckloads of soil are being delivered and stacked at Entergy’s Waterford 5 & 6 expansion site. To put that into perspective: it’s enough material to cover 100 football fields, each piled 17 feet high.

Louisiana has earned Business Facilities’ Platinum Deal of the Year for the second consecutive year, with Hyundai Steel’s $5.8 billion investment in Ascension Parish recognized as the nation’s most significant development announcement of 2025. With this selection, Louisiana becomes the first in the award’s history to receive consecutive Platinum honors.

Entergy Louisiana partnered with Catholic Charities Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux to support the Good Samaritan Food Bank’s Thanksgiving distribution, helping provide hundreds of local families with access to nutritious holiday meals. With Entergy Louisiana’s support, the organization purchased 165 turkeys and prepared more than 700 Thanksgiving food boxes for residents throughout the community.
