This holiday season, Entergy brought smiles to customers with the return of “Operation Secret Santa.” At the Canal Street Customer Care Center, select customers were pleasantly surprised as Santa stepped in to cover their utility bills, thanks to The Power to Care, part of Entergy’s program dedicated to assisting low-income families and households.
This holiday season, Entergy proudly sponsored the annual gift giveaway for The Times-Picayune Doll and Toy Fund in New Orleans, a heartwarming tradition celebrating its 129th year. Our leadership team and employees gathered to spread holiday cheer and donate thousands of toys to children and families in need.
This year, Entergy employees raised $868,167 for The Power to Care, a vital program that provides emergency bill assistance to our most vulnerable neighbors, including older adults and individuals with disabilities.
Entergy was recognized this year as one of the top 25 workplace giving contributors for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, donating more than $230,000 through the company’s employee payroll contributions across its service areas. The recognition was announced Aug. 29, 2024, during the company’s Northern Regional employee meeting. Each year, Entergy employees actively participate in United Way campaigns to raise funds for their communities. To further amplify the impact of these contributions, company shareholders match employee donations dollar-for-dollar.
As we celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, Entergy proudly recognizes the invaluable contributions and rich experiences of Latinos, integral to our nation’s history and culture. Throughout this month, Entergy has collaborated with key Hispanic partners and community leaders to uplift Latino voices and strengthen Hispanic communities across the country.
Poverty is a reality for many individuals and families. But unless one has experienced poverty, it’s difficult to truly understand. Recognizing this, Entergy’s low-income initiatives team recently organized poverty simulations aimed at providing our employees with a firsthand understanding of the struggles faced by our customers living in our service area of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
During a special event held at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Entergy partnered with the American Indian College Fund, or AICF, to award a grant in support of higher education for Native American students. For the ninth consecutive year, our collaboration with the AICF has been instrumental in empowering Native American students, enabling them to pursue rewarding career paths and emerge as influential leaders within their communities.

Kenyon Webber, a senior lead nuclear engineer at Entergy, was recently recognized as one of six 2024 “Women in STEM” honorees by the American Heart Association. This award is a recognition of her outstanding commitment and impact in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, or STEM, in New Orleans.
The United Way of Northern New Jersey invited Entergy’s Chair and CEO Drew Marsh to be a keynote panelist at the National ALICE Summit that was held last month in New Orleans. The summit focused on supporting Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed individuals. ALICE represents the growing number of families who earn a little more than the federal poverty level but still struggle to afford basic needs like food, housing, childcare transportation, health care and technology.
