Hurricane season officially starts June 1, but the Gulf of Mexico is already churning up tropical activity. With slightly above-average activity predicted for the 2018 Atlantic hurricane season, Entergy Texas wants you to know it is ready to safely and quickly restore power should a storm strike our area.

For the past seven years, Entergy Texas customer Melissa Delgado of Conroe has participated in Entergy’s Super Tax Day events to get her taxes done for free. It is one of many events held as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program – a program sponsored in part by Entergy.

Earlier this week, Entergy Corporation’s internal cyber-security monitoring systems detected issues on its corporate network. The issues have been isolated, a remedy has been deployed, and the systems are coming back online.
The $150,000 Entergy Texas grants that were announced for Hurricane Harvey relief before Thanksgiving is literally spreading joy across Southeast Texas.
Entergy employees brightened up the City of Orange this past weekend with their ”National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”-themed parade float.n nAn Entergy truck was decked out “Griswold style,” complete with Clark Griswold (aka Aaron ‘AP’ Castino) and cousin Eddie (aka Rory Risinger) hanging behind the house with serviceman Collin White onboard as well. n nThe event was the 69th Annual Christmas Parade presented by the Kiwanis Club of Orange. The parade theme was “A Very Merry Hollywood Christmas,” and Entergy folks went all out.n nTheir efforts won them first place in the parade’s commercial division – the third time Entergy has taken the top prize in that division.n nThose that took part in building the parade float were: Castino, Risinger, White, Blake Perry (driver), Mike Swope, Dustin Wilson, Jared Robson, Johnny Johnson, Nick Pervan, Daniel Ruiz and Jim Malain.
