In addition to reports of possible tornadic activity in Calcasieu Parish, the storm brought lightning and high winds exceeding 60 mph, resulting in power outages for approximately 92,700 customers at its peak.
We are aware of the outages currently impacting a number of our customers as severe weather, including high winds and lightning, moves across the state. Our crews are responding and restoring power behind the line of storms once it becomes safe to do so.

As work progresses on the third day of restoration, cranes and track equipment are being heavily utilized as utility crews narrow in on repairs and rebuild work being made in rural fields and densely wooded areas.
