Entergy Arkansas kicked off the new year by meeting customers where they are – in their communities. Through a series of Customer Care Pop-Ups held across the state, the company helped customers manage their utility bills, learn about available assistance programs and connect with trusted community resources.
“These events are really a resource fair,” Entergy Arkansas Customer Service Manager Marshunda Jones said. “It gives customers the opportunity to come to one place and get all of the resources they need.”
The pop-ups were held in Little Rock, Camden, El Dorado and Magnolia. They collectively served 1,626 customers statewide, highlighting the widespread need for on-site assistance and support. Casondra Jones was one of the nearly 900 customers who came to the Little Rock customer care event.
“I got there around 6:45 a.m. and the line was already long,” Jones said. “This really helps me because I am older and on disability.”
The events brought together Entergy Arkansas representatives, Central Arkansas Development Council (CADC) who administers the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), the Arkansas Hunger Alliance, Arkansas Minority Health Commission and other utilities and organizations to provide information and assistance.
“Our goal is affordability,” Jones said. “When we have events like this, it helps customers be able to better manage their bills. The resources are really making a difference in their everyday lives.”
For customers like Shamari Clements, the one stop shop provided much-needed relief.
“I have chronic anemia, so I haven’t been working and I’m a single mom of three so opportunities like these are great,” Clements said. “Thank y’all for doing this for us. It’s a blessing.”
The customer care events reflect Entergy Arkansas’s ongoing commitment to the communities it serves – not just by providing reliable power, but by offering practical solutions, trusted partnerships and personalized support when customers need it most.
Entergy Arkansas plans to do more of these events throughout the year and will announce the next locations when more details become available.
