Entergy Arkansas had been warned that its service area might be in for some weather June 19. We were on standby and ready when storms hit that night packing 75-mph straight-line winds and a lightning display few will soon forget. When the skies cleared, we had just over 82,000 customers out of power across the state.

Entergy Texas Supports Earth Day GreenUp to Beautify The Woodlands Township

Entergy volunteers participated in the ninth annual Earth Day GreenUp, a company-wide stewardship project for The Woodlands Township. Cleanup crews spent the day clearing and bagging trash from streets, pathways and streams. Each year, Earth Day GreenUp volunteers remove the equivalent of 4,500 pounds of trash – enough to fill 76 of their 96-gallon trash carts. Following the effort, Entergy employees and their families gathered at a local park to celebrate with food and fellowship.
