Entergy Arkansas announces 2 new Site Certifications: Jefferson Industrial Park & Frazier Pike Sites

Jefferson County economic development officials and the Little Rock Port Authority were recognized by Entergy Arkansas’ Office of Business and Economic Development for receiving a Select Site certification for conducting a comprehensive review and documentation process for their 44-acre industrial site and 37-acre site respectively, making the sites ready for prospective manufacturing or distribution projects.

Entergy Arkansas, NextEra Energy Resources announce groundbreaking of Arkansas’ largest solar energy

A subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources and Entergy Arkansas today announced the start of construction of Arkansas’ largest universal, utility-scale solar energy project – the Chicot Solar Energy Center. The Chicot Solar Energy Center, when complete, will be bigger than the Stuttgart Solar Energy Center, which came online in 2018 as the state’s largest universal solar energy project at that time.

Maumelle Champs Site Accomplishes Site Certification

Maumelle economic development officials were recognized at the Jess Odom Community Center by Entergy Arkansas’ Office of Business and Economic Development for receiving a Select Site certification for conducting a comprehensive review and documentation process for their 121-acre industrial site, making the site ready for prospective manufacturing or distribution projects.

Entergy Named as National Leader in Economic Development; 12th Consecutive Year on the List

For 12 years running, Site Selection magazine has named Entergy Corporation as one of the nation’s top utilities in economic development. The award is due in large part to the vital role Entergy played in supporting projects that resulted in nearly $13.4 billion of capital investment and the creation of more than 4,750 new jobs within the service territory in 2018.

For the 11th consecutive year, Site Selection magazine has named Entergy as one of the nation’s Top 10 utilities in economic development. The accolade comes as a result of Entergy’s part in supporting projects that resulted in nearly $4.25 billion of capital investment and the creation of more than 4,688 new jobs within the service territory in 2017.
