Entergy Arkansas offers generous support for Ozarka Technical Center

MOUNTAIN VIEW, AR – Ozarka College Foundation recently received a $100,000 commitment from Entergy Arkansas. The significant Entergy investment will be used to support Ozarka’s Technical Center expansion in Mountain View. Specifically, the gift will support electrical upgrades and the construction of a new outdoor welding lab. The contribution also secures Entergy as naming sponsor of the newly renovated construction lab.

For 17 consecutive years, Site Selection magazine has recognized Entergy as a top utility for economic growth in the communities we serve, which include some of the largest and most power-intensive industries in the United States. In 2023, we helped secure more than $33 billion in capital investments and create approximately 5,160 new direct jobs through announced economic development projects within our four-state region of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

Entergy Texas awarded nearly $54M in federal funding to enhance grid resilience

The grant will support projects aimed to reduce outage durations, lessen storm costs and speed up recovery time following extreme weather events in Port Arthur, Texas.

Entergy New Orleans recently presented Urban League of Louisiana with a $25,000 check to support the workforce development initiative.

Historic New Orleans church sees cost savings with smart thermostats

During any given week, Rayne Memorial United Methodist Church in Uptown New Orleans hosts hundreds of people for different activities on its campus. Its buildings serve as gathering spaces and include a sanctuary, multipurpose rooms, commercial kitchen, year-round childcare and pre-k program classrooms, a residential home used for offices and missional housing, and a parsonage. Weekly activities include youth education, community meetings, food pantry outreach and more. All of this activity, while a blessing, means that maintenance and energy efficiency are always top of mind for the church staff.

The growth opportunities we have before us in Mississippi rely on many key outcomes, but the one I’m most excited about is Entergy Mississippi’s ability to meet our customers’ needs. We’re going to do that, while continuing our commitment to build a better future by balancing power reliability and affordability for our customers.
