Entergy’s Louisiana Companies Winter Storm Update – 2/17/21 @ Noon
Entergy’s Louisiana storm restoration workers, now numbering 3,100, continue to make progress in restoring power to customers who lost it following Monday’s winter weather that brought snow, ice and freezing rain to our service territory.

The latest winter storm to move across our service territory is causing new power outages for our customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
Entergy Forced to Initiate Power Outages to Customers Across Its Service Area
Entergy has initiated additional power outages for its customers across its four-state service area. The company is taking this action as directed by our reliability coordinator, the Midcontinent Independent System Operator, as a last resort and in order to prevent more extensive, prolonged power outages that could severely affect the reliability of the power grid.
Mandatory Rolling Outages Ended for Now
Mandatory rolling outages that began at 7 p.m. have ended for now, and we have returned the system to normal operations. All customers affected by this directive were restored by 9 p.m.

Entergy continues to return customers to service, prepares for additional winter weather.
Entergy Mississippi Winter Storm Update – 2/16/21 @ 5:30 p.m.
The winter weather continues to cause power outages for Entergy Mississippi customers across our service territory. As of 5:30 p.m., 3,341 customers are without power, mostly in the southern region. Communities with the most damage include Fernwood, Magnolia, Osyka, Tylertown, Prentiss, Magee and Raleigh.

Entergy Forced to Initiate Power Outages to Customers in Beaumont Area
BEAUMONT, Texas - Entergy Texas has started additional power outages for its customers across the Eastern portion of its Texas service territory, which includes Jefferson, Orange, Hardin and Liberty counties. The company is taking this action as directed by our reliability coordinator, the Midcontinent Independent System Operator, as a last resort and in order to prevent a more extensive, prolonged power outage that could severely affect the reliability of the power grid.
