Entergy receives 2024 HIRE Vets Gold Medallion Award for its commitment to hiring veterans
For the seventh consecutive year, the U.S. Department of Labor has awarded Entergy with the HIRE Vets Medallion Award, honoring exceptional achievement in veteran employment. During a virtual award ceremony in October, U.S. Acting Secretary of Labor Julie A. Su recognized Entergy alongside 838 other recipients who have demonstrated a commitment to hiring veterans and ensuring they have a long-term career and growth plan that uses the diverse skills they acquired through their military service.

Entergy ranks first in United Way’s Top 10 Most Generous Workplaces in Southeast Louisiana
United Way of Southeast Louisiana, or UWSELA, recently recognized Entergy as the leading company in their Top 10 Most Generous Workplaces for 2023-2024. This is the 10th year in a row Entergy has been recognized in the top 10 list.

Webber selected as 2024 “Women in STEM” honoree
When Kenyon Webber, Entergy senior lead nuclear engineer, moved to the Greater New Orleans area, she wanted to continue her involvement with STEM-related programs and organizations. Webber initially worked with STEM NOLA, but more recently became involved with FIRST Robotics competitions, Girl Scouts of Louisiana, Girls in STEM at Tulane and STEM Goes Red with the American Heart Association. She also a board member with STEM Library Lab and the 1881 Institute.

This event recognized leading graduates of Alcorn State University, who have made great strides in their community and career and who have encouraged others to attend the university. Entergy Nuclear's own Alisha Johnson-Thomas, supervisor of supplier QA, was among the list of 15 distinguished graduates honored.
