Entergy New Orleans donates $383,000 to help vulnerable customers “Beat the Heat”
This summer, Entergy New Orleans provided $383,025.25 through its “Beat the Heat” program focused on helping its low-income customers and communities stay cool and pay their bills throughout the summer. Through Entergy New Orleans’ “Beat the Heat” program, customers received bill payment assistance, fans, energy efficiency kits, home weatherization and invaluable support from local community partners.

J. Wayne Leonard Prosperity Center reopens
Wayne Leonard, former chairman and chief executive officer of Entergy, is recognized as the center’s namesake for serving as a champion for underprivileged customers during his 14 years of leadership with the company before retiring in 2013. The center was established with the support of generous donors, including a $2 million contribution that was comprised of a personal gift of $1 million from Leonard and matched by Entergy. The Prosperity Center will expand its services to help low- to moderate-income individuals and families gain stability through services like financial education and coaching, free tax preparation, asset ownership programs and more.

Self-Service Options Now Available for Customers to Sign up for Deferred Payment Arrangements
Entergy New Orleans customers, who are not currently enrolled in a deferred payment arrangement, now can initiate deferred payment arrangements through self-service options.
