Entergy Mississippi crews, contractors, tree trimmers and scouts are working diligently to restore power to more than 45,000 customers following the recent severe system. As of 9 a.m., Entergy Mississippi reports less than 36,000 customers are still without power.

As of 4:30 p.m., the storm has caused approximately 11,000 customers to lose power in our service area. Crews have worked as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to approximately 6,500 customers.

Hurricane Francine, currently a tropical depression, continues moving northeastward from Louisiana through Mississippi. At 7 a.m., we had approximately 10,790 customer outages in the southern portion of our Entergy Mississippi territory. Outages are expected to fluctuate throughout the day as the storm moves through our service area and, therefore, are subject to change based upon the storm’s impact.

Restoration is complete and electrical power has been restored to all customers who can safely receive power. If your power is not restored, please check for damage to the electrical equipment attached to your home or business. If your electrical equipment sustained damage, these items must be repaired by a qualified electrician before Entergy can restore. Permits may be required.
