More than $5.6M in energy assistance provided to help Entergy customers in 2023

This summer was the hottest ever recorded, and in response to the extreme heat, Entergy launched its “Beat the Heat” program – aimed at implementing a series of measures to help vulnerable customers stay cool and safe this summer.

Entergy’s pro bono team helps Afghan refugee family seek asylum

This year, Entergy’s pro bono team successfully assisted an Afghan refugee family in their pursuit of immigration asylum in the United States. In 2021, the parents and their young child were forced to flee their homeland amid the escalating conflict and insecurity that ensued as U.S. military forces withdrew from Afghanistan and the Taliban retook control of the country.

Scorching temperatures are uncomfortable for everyone, but they can be especially dangerous for older adults and disabled individuals. Having power for air conditioning and fans is a necessity, just like food and medicine.
