Elevating our approach to expediting power restoration following severe storms
Entergy’s team deployed a new Entergy-owned helicopter for its inaugural patrol flights to help restore power to thousands of customers in the wake of severe storms that swept through the Gulf Coast region on March 15 and the more recent spring storms in Arkansas earlier this month.

Multiple thunderstorms moved through the state March 14 and March 15, causing widespread power outages to more than 15,000 customers, toppling transmission structures, breaking hundreds of power poles and causing major property damage.

March 2-8 is designated as Severe Weather Awareness Week in Arkansas. Entergy Arkansas is encouraging customers to observe the week by ensuring they have a severe weather plan, a stocked-and-ready emergency kit and a dependable way to stay informed of weather conditions.

Entergy Arkansas storm update – 5/28/24, 8 p.m.
Just over 1,100 customers remain without power tonight after Entergy Arkansas crews restored power to thousands over the last several days. More than 46,000 customer interruptions have been restored since Friday evening.

Entergy Arkansas storm update – 5/26/24, noon
Severe weather with reports of multiple tornadoes in Northwest Arkansas early this morning has caused damage and additional outages throughout the state. Currently there are approximately 22,000 customer outages. The Flippin service territory appears to have the hardest impact and has extensive damage to the transmission system. Estimated restoration times listed below may be extended as damage assessments are completed along complex terrain or if there are any additional weather impacts.

Crews are working around the clock to safely restore power after multiple rounds of severe weather caused outages. We’ve restored a total of 57,000 customers since the event(s), started about 3 p.m. on Friday. Currently, 4,579 customers remain without power.

Entergy Arkansas storm update – 5/9/24, 6 p.m.
Since the night of May 8, through the evening of May 9, Entergy Arkansas has restored approximately 43,000 customer outages resulting from multiple storm fronts that moved through the state. Currently there are approximately 1,430 remaining customer outages.
