Entergy helps empower women in energy at Congressional Black Caucus Institute meeting in Houston
In October, Entergy hosted an “Empowering women in energy” panel during the Congressional Black Caucus Political Education and Leadership Institute 2023 fourth quarter meeting in Houston. The CBC Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, social welfare organization whose primary mission is to “educate today’s voters and train tomorrow’s leaders,” as well as inform, inspire and ignite its communities into action on issues that affect them the most. The meeting was held in Houston to allow members of Congress and various industry governmental affairs representatives to tour the area and hear from local industries with a focus on the energy industry.

Meet Kelvin Winslow, senior manager of operations and construction at Entergy Texas. Kelvin is from Alexandria, Louisiana, also known as the “Heart of CenLA”. He notes his hometown as a place where his heart will always be, because his family is there.

Meet the crew – Ryan Magee
Meet Ryan Magee, manager of public affairs at Entergy Texas. He’s from Pride, Louisiana, a town just as strong as its name that’s located near Baton Rouge. In his downtime, Ryan enjoys woodworking, metalworking, home improvement projects, and is currently working on converting a school bus into an RV (#skoolie).
