Babel to Webre 500 kV

Description: A new single-circuit 500-kV transmission line approximately 150 miles in length will be built in Iberville, Point Coupee, St. Landry, Evangeline, Avoyelles, Rapides and Vernon parishes. The new transmission line will connect the upgraded Webre 500-kV Switching Station (La.) to a 500-kV switching station to be constructed in Texas.

Benefits: The project provides an opportunity to grow Louisiana through industrial and residential investments in the region while ensuring the transmission infrastructure to support Louisiana growth.

West Bank 230 kV Transmission Project

Description: This project includes the construction of a new 500/230 kV switching station called Commodore on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Iberville Parish, and approximately 60 miles of new 230 kV transmission line connecting the new Commodore station to the existing Waterford 230 kV station in St. Charles Parish.

Cost:  Approximately $499 million

Benefits: The project will enable the continued reliable operation of the transmission grid in South Louisiana and support the unprecedented economic growth happening in our state.  It will also be constructed to Entergy’s latest wind standards, providing an additional resilient transmission path to deliver power in Southeast Louisiana.

West Bank 500 kV Transmission Project

Description: This project includes the construction of approximately 84 miles of new 500 kV transmission line along the west bank of the Mississippi River from the Commodore 500/230 kV switching station in Iberville Parish to the Churchill station in Jefferson Parish, and converting approximately 27 miles of existing 230 kV transmission line between Churchill and the Waterford station in St. Charles Parish to 500 kV operation.

Cost:  Approximately $955 million

Benefits: The project will enable the continued reliable operation of the transmission grid in South Louisiana and support the unprecedented economic growth happening in our state. It will also be constructed to Entergy’s latest wind standards, providing an additional resilient transmission path to deliver power in Southeast Louisiana.

Audubon 500/230 kV Switching Station Project

Description: This project includes the construction of a new 500/230 kV switching station on the east bank of the Mississippi River in Ascension Parish which will interconnect the existing Willow Glen to Waterford 500 kV, Conway to Panama 230 kV, and Conway to Bagatelle 230 kV transmission lines.  The interconnection of the new station to the existing grid will require approximately two miles of new 500 kV transmission line and approximately three miles of new 230 kV transmission line.

Cost:  Approximately $209 million

Benefits: The project will enable the continued reliable operation of the transmission grid in South Louisiana and support the unprecedented economic growth happening in our state.

East Bank Geismar 230 kV Transmission Project

Description: This project includes the construction of approximately 15 miles of new 230 kV transmission line on the east bank of the Mississippi River from the Willow Glen 230 kV substation in Iberville Parish to the Conway 230 kV substation in Ascension Parish, and approximately 6 miles of new 230 kV transmission line from Conway to the Audubon 500/230 kV switching station in Ascension Parish.

Cost:  Approximately $151 million

Benefits: The project will enable the continued reliable operation of the transmission grid in South Louisiana and support the unprecedented economic growth happening in our state. It will also be constructed to Entergy’s latest wind standards, providing an additional resilient transmission path to deliver power in Southeast Louisiana.

Adams Creek to Robert 230 kV Project

Description: This project includes the construction of approximately 41 miles of new 230 kV transmission line from the Adams Creek 230 kV substation in Washington Parish to the Robert 230 kV substation in Tangipahoa Parish.

Cost:  Approximately $198 million

Benefits: The project will enable the continued reliable operation of the transmission grid in South Louisiana and support the unprecedented economic growth happening in our state. It will also be constructed to Entergy’s latest wind standards, providing an additional resilient transmission path to deliver power in Southeast Louisiana.

Mount Olive to Sarepta 500 kV Transmission Project

Description: This project includes the installation of a new 500/345 kV substation transformer at the Sarepta switching station in Webster Parish, and approximately 58 miles of new 500 kV transmission line from Sarepta to the Mount Olive 500 kV switching station in Lincoln Parish.

Cost:  Approximately $358 million

Benefits: The project will enable the continued reliable operation of the transmission grid in North Louisiana and support the unprecedented economic growth happening in the region.
