Entergy provides free legal assistance to vulnerable community members during second Pro Bono Day

For the second year in a row, Entergy participated in EmPOWERing Pro Bono Day, an industry-wide service day that we helped found to provide pro bono legal support for low-income, vulnerable community members in electric companies’ service areas. The event was launched in 2022 by the Pro Bono Institute in partnership with Entergy’s legal department and the Edison Electric Institute. The event serves to spotlight the need to increase access to justice by providing legal services to marginalized communities and promote in-house pro bono collaboration with law firms and legal services organizations.

Entergy’s pro bono team helps Afghan refugee family seek asylum

This year, Entergy’s pro bono team successfully assisted an Afghan refugee family in their pursuit of immigration asylum in the United States. In 2021, the parents and their young child were forced to flee their homeland amid the escalating conflict and insecurity that ensued as U.S. military forces withdrew from Afghanistan and the Taliban retook control of the country.

Entergy joins conversation with New Orleans leaders on enhancing the US power grid

nRecently, Entergy partnered with the news website Axios for an inaugural event marking the online publication’s expansion into the New Orleans media market. During the program, Entergy Chairman and CEO Drew Marsh joined key New Orleans leaders and policymakers to discuss best strategies to modernize the United States power grid, accelerate the clean energy transition and improve energy reliability and resilience.

Entergy-sponsored Bike to Work event commemorates 140 miles of installed bikeways in New Orleans

This week, Entergy joined our community partners Bike Easy and the City of New Orleans, in celebration of Bike to Work’s annual event, sponsored by Entergy for the 12th year. Bike to Work is a month-long event that encourages healthy lifestyles, benefits the environment and boosts local tourism through a number of challenges and activities in April.
