For Deborah Drago, industrial account executive at Entergy Texas, being involved in her community is a way of life.

“The most rewarding aspect of my job is the satisfaction I gain from helping customers,” said Drago. “Whether I’m guiding a project to completion, resolving account issues, or assisting in the development of a sustainability strategy, every interaction reinforces my commitment to customer service.”

Drago first joined Entergy in 2021 as a customer service specialist, where she used her expertise to support key regional initiatives aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and corporate social responsibility.

Drago was drawn to Entergy due to its strong philanthropy and advocacy work. As the former executive director of the Southeast Texas Nonprofit Development Center, she built meaningful connections with Entergy’s customer service team, fostering not only professional ties but lasting friendships.

Through Entergy’s corporate contributions and volunteer efforts, she witnessed firsthand the company’s dedication to enhancing quality of life in its service territories and knew she wanted to join a team with such a keen community focus.

Volunteerism and community advocacy allow Drago to cultivate valuable relationships with her clients while engaging with local political leaders, civic associations, and business and industrial stakeholders. Her involvement on nonprofit boards and participation in community events further strengthen these essential connections.

Currently, she serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Mid & South Jefferson County in Port Arthur, Texas. This year, the organization will invest more than $2.7 million in local initiatives and community grants, translating into 1,038,881 meals for the hungry, support for 53,389 local households with essential needs, 24,040 books provided to local youth, and 38,451 nights of safe shelter for those in need.
