Entergy Chair and CEO Drew Marsh recently joined S&P Global Commodity Insights’ “Energy Evolution” podcast to share his perspective on the future of the nuclear power industry as the recently named chair of the board for the Nuclear Energy Institute.

During the episode, Marsh spoke with Platts reporter Abbie Bennett on the future of nuclear power, emphasizing the industry’s growth potential, the importance of reducing construction cost uncertainties and the increasing demand from data centers for clean energy.

“I can’t think of a better, more exciting time to be at NEI … given everything that’s going on in the industry. There’s just so much demand growth out in the electric space that it is requiring all kinds of generation, including new nuclear,” said Marsh when asked about his priorities for his role as chairman of the Nuclear Energy Institute board of directors. “I look forward to creating the foundation to help navigate the industry out for the next 25 years to 2050 to meet the objectives of the country. There’s a lot of key partnerships that need to happen, and that’s where NEI is going to excel.”
