Meet Tyler Nye, an incident response specialist lead at our headquarters in New Orleans, Louisiana, who has played a key role in supporting Entergy’s readiness and response efforts, including serving as the program administrator for the storm manager application.

In his role, Nye works under the support and administration section of the incident response department supporting reporting and metrics, application support and business improvement functions. This includes making preliminary deployment assignments and support assignments, including lodging and meals. Having accurate information in Storm manager also plays a key role in understanding restoration costs and can support post-storm recovery efforts as well.

Within this position, Nye mentions why he is so passionate about the work that he does for the company.

“In times of major storm events or other emergencies, my team plays a vital role in ensuring our employees and partners have the resources, tools and support they need to restore power to our customers as quickly and safely as possible.”

Nye says that there is a lot of things that he enjoys about the job but there is one thing in particular that makes the job worth while. “I love working with my team and the collaboration we have as a group. It really makes navigating even the most challenging situations a much more comfortable and rewarding process.”
Nye says that leading the team in running the storm manager application is one of his greatest accomplishments he has while working at Entergy these past three years.

When Nye isn’t working on the clock, he enjoys playing basketball, kickball, pickleball and running. He also enjoys working out, spending time with friends, and keeping up with the Saints and Pelicans sports teams.
