Nathan Enriquez

From the Cleveland Network Office to the Superdome – Nathan Enriquez is representing Entergy like only a top-notch lineman can represent! He’s been named Lineman of the Game for the Sunday, November 23 matchup between the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons.

Enriquez, who has been part of the Entergy Mississippi team for 10 years, first started his career after participating in Mississippi Delta Community College’s electrical program. “Before I became an apprentice, I didn’t even know that this would be so rewarding. But I’m so glad to be in this field now,” he said.

As a Cleveland native, he’s not just serving customers. He’s also serving his own community. “Whether it’s a regular day or storm response, I take pride in what I do to help keep the lights on,” Enriquez said.

This isn’t Enriquez’s first company honor. Back in 2019, he earned the President’s Lifesaving Award after rescuing a motorist from floodwaters in the middle of the night. He and two other linemen were on their way to restore an outage in the pouring rain, when they saw the motorist standing on the roof of his car, with water up to his chest. The man couldn’t swim, so they helped him out of danger and made sure he got home safely.

“I’d do it again in a heartbeat,” Enriquez said. Now, he’ll be treated to a VIP experience, with on-field access and a special announcement.

Entergy’s participation in mutual assistance allows linemen to impact communities across the nation during times of need. One of Enriquez’ most memorable moments was responding to Hurricane Harvey in Texas. “I was there for about ten days, and everyone was so nice. That was my first time responding to a Hurricane, and it really left a mark on me the way they treated us with kindness and generosity,” he said.

When he’s not working, Enriquez enjoys being outdoors, fishing, watching baseball, and traveling with his parents.
