A Conversation with Palisades Nuclear Plant’s Mike Pyne
Mike Pyne is an electrical superintendent at Palisades Nuclear Plant. He joined Entergy nine years ago, starting as a repairman. He lives in Kalamazoo with his wife, Heidi, and their two sons, 16-year-old Brad and 14-year-old Nick. Heidi is a destination wedding planner and recently went to Jamaica for “work” to check out multiple venues. To relax, Mike enjoys spending time outside doing yard work. An interesting tidbit–their family has a Chinchilla named Chilly.

A Conversation with Palisades’ Sarah Williams
Sarah Williams is an equipment reliability coordinator at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert, Michigan. She joined Entergy three years ago as a flow accelerated corrosion engineer. She’s not the only one who works in the nuclear industry – her husband David is a nuclear engineer at Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant, owned by American Electric Power. They reside in southwest Michigan with their energetic 19-month-old daughter, Madeline.nBeing a positive person is powerfulI believe that some people do not realize the power and impact their attitude and expressions can have on the people around them. I choose to greet the people I see daily with a smile and lively hello. This seemingly small gesture is something that I hope has a positive impact on the people around me.

Palisades Nuclear Power Plant Completes $58M Planned Refueling and Maintenance and Upgrade; Returns to NRC’s Top Safety Category
Entergy’s Palisades Power Plant has returned to service after a $58 million investment to upgrade and inspect plant equipment, plus a $63 million investment in new fuel, for another 18 months of safe, emissions-free energy generation. In another positive development for the western Michigan nuclear power plant, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission returned Palisades to the agency’s highest safety category.

Entergy Corporation Issues Statement on Palisades Nuclear Power Plant
In regards to the recent media coverage of the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant and the industry topic of pressurized thermal shock, Entergy Corporation issued the following statement from Tony Vitale, Palisades' site vice president: "The Palisades nuclear plant is a safe and secure facility, and we have an NRC license to operate this facility through 2031.
