At Entergy New Orleans, meeting expectations is the standard. But some employees strive for more – much like a student who earns a perfect score, but still goes for the bonus point. That’s the spirit behind our Plus One employee spotlight – to celebrate team members who go beyond what’s required. Because what’s better than 100? 100 Plus One.

In Quarter 2, four employees, Kendra Johnson, Will Peters, Wali Ricks and Cody Hunter, demonstrated exactly what Plus One looks like – they took quiet, instinctive action in a moment that mattered.

It began when a colleague started to feel faint and overheated after eating something that didn’t sit well. She attempted to enter a nearby conference room to cool down, but the door was locked. Growing weaker, she sat on the floor, eventually lying down in the hallway.

That’s when Kendra Johnson walked by and immediately recognized something was wrong. Without hesitation, she checked on her co-worker and called for support from Will Peters and Wali Ricks. Working together, they helped their colleague into an office chair and searched for a cooler space.

Because the nearest room was in use, Will retrieved keys to another. Kendra brought iced water to help lower the colleague’s body temperature, while Wali stayed by her side, fanning her and offering steady support. Cody Hunter also joined, remaining with the team until their co-worker recovered.

The Plus One employee spotlight was created to honor the moments like this, when someone chooses to do a little more, offers a little extra, or takes a small step that makes a big difference.

We thank all of you for showing what it truly means to go above and beyond. You didn’t wait to be asked. You saw a need and met it with compassion and urgency.

Congratulations, you’ve earned the extra point. You’re our 100 Plus One.
