Chartwell, a specialized research and information provider focused exclusively on utilities, has recognized Entergy with its 2026 Award for Excellence in Customer Value and Strategic Growth. The award highlights our industry‑leading approach to attracting new business and expansions while delivering measurable long‑term benefits for the communities we serve. It underscores our customer‑driven business strategy, our commitment to affordability and the role we play in strengthening local economies.

Chartwell selected Entergy based on the transformative results of our multi‑year data‑center growth strategy, which ensures protections for our existing customers and creates fairness for everyone.

“We’re incredibly proud to be recognized by Chartwell with this award,” said Elizabeth Adams, Entergy’s chief customer officer. “We have led the industry in our approach to data-center growth and, as a result, have forged new partnerships across the Gulf South. This award reflects the meaningful impact these partnerships have on our communities — growing the local tax base, supporting essential services, creating new opportunities for residents and families and strengthening our local economies. Our largest customers continue to show up as committed corporate citizens and neighbors, bringing jobs, investment and a shared focus on improving quality of life. When we grow alongside our customers, our communities grow too.”

Over the last two and a half years, Entergy has secured partnerships with industry leaders including Amazon Web Services, Meta, Google, Hut 8 and AVAIO Digital. These projects are bringing billions in capital investment, thousands of construction and permanent jobs, and major new tax dollars to local communities. At the same time, they unlock more than $7 billion in savings for our existing customers. Under our Fair Share Plus pledge, these large customers pay their full cost of service and create additional value, helping keep electric rates as low as possible while contributing to improvements that strengthen the electric grid.

This recognition also reflects our commitment to building a stronger future for the communities we serve. Major infrastructure investments are supporting new solar and battery resources, modernizing substations and transmission lines and enabling forward‑looking tools like real‑time grid monitoring and demand‑response integrations. When large data centers move to Entergy’s service area, all customers connected to the grid benefit. Each new large customer helps cover more of the grid maintenance and improvement costs — relieving existing customers of having to bear those expenses alone, and at a larger share than residential and small business customers.

Beyond the electric system, partners like Google and Meta are investing heavily in local businesses, infrastructure improvements and energy‑efficiency programs — including Meta’s $260 million commitment to bill‑assistance and efficiency initiatives that help reduce energy burdens for vulnerable households.

Hyperscalers like AWS, Google and Meta are also partnering with local education and workforce programs to build talent pipelines for data‑center operations and skilled trades. AWS has committed to opening a first‑of‑its‑kind training center to help prepare Mississippians for high‑demand tech jobs, while Google announced an Entergy Impact Fund that will provide no‑cost access to Google AI courses and Career Certificates for Arkansas residents, starting with students at two universities. Meta is launching its Workforce Academy, a fast‑track training program designed to equip residents for long‑term careers in skilled trades. Together, these initiatives not only provide in‑demand technical and trade credentials but also strengthen long‑term workforce development that supports regional economic growth.

Chartwell’s award affirms that Entergy’s long‑term strategy is visionary and transformative — attracting high‑value customers, lowering energy costs for millions of households across the region and supporting economic growth that creates a more prosperous future for all of our customers.
