August is back-to-school season and students in Hot Springs’ Lakeside School District are returning to classrooms that are more energy-efficient thanks to Entergy Solutions programs. Upgraded HVAC systems, commercial Wi-Fi thermostats and new lighting are just some of the improvements made to help Lakeside save energy and money.
So far this year, Entergy Arkansas has provided more than $480,000 in incentives to schools and colleges across Arkansas through its CitySmart program — including significant upgrades in the Lakeside School District. As an Entergy customer, Lakeside identified energy savings opportunities specific to its facilities and worked to prioritize projects that would lower energy use while reducing costs.
“Our CitySmart program and incentives make a big difference in covering the costs of energy-efficient upgrades for schools like Lakeside and ultimately saving money on utility bills,” said Denice Jeter, Manager of Entergy Arkansas Entergy Solutions programs.
The CitySmart program allows districts such as Lakeside to achieve meaningful energy savings while also earning incentives for completing qualifying projects.
