Entergy Louisiana has been recognized in three categories as Business Report’s 10/12 Industry Report announced its 2026 Louisiana Energy Awards finalists, reflecting the company’s leadership in resiliency, economic development and strategic planning.

Entergy Louisiana is a finalist for Large Energy Company of the Year, honoring its more than 100 years of service, a workforce of approximately 4,500 employees statewide, and major investments including a nearly $2 billion resiliency plan and support for groundbreaking projects with partners such as Meta, Hut8 and Hyundai Steel.

The company is also a finalist for Energy Deal of the Year for its role in enabling Hyundai Motor Group’s $5.8 billion decision to build its first North American steel facility in Donaldsonville – made possible through significant generation and transmission upgrades supporting an electric arc furnace mill designed to produce lower‑emission, high‑volume steel.

Additionally, Laura Beauchamp, Entergy Louisiana’s vice president of business operations and strategy, has been named a finalist for Emerging Energy Leader of the Year. Her 24‑year career with the company includes leading major strategic initiatives that balance reliability, affordability and environmental stewardship, as well as infrastructure planning to power projects such as Meta’s AI data center, Hyundai Steel, and the First Solar facility in New Iberia.

Winners will be announced at the Louisiana Energy Awards celebration on Nov. 18 in Baton Rouge.
