JACKSON, Miss. – Entergy Mississippi has added Tamica Smith-Jeuitt to its communications team as a senior media relations specialist supporting the company’s media and external relations strategy, including serving as a company spokesperson. A former broadcast journalist and nonprofit leader, she brings more than 20 years of media, crisis, and strategic communications experience to the role.

“As the energy landscape continues to evolve and intersect with new technology, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and transparency in our communications is essential. Tamica brings deep media relations expertise, crisis communications experience, and proven leadership that will strengthen our team,” said Leyla Goodsell, communications manager, Entergy Mississippi. “We are excited to welcome Tamica and look forward to the meaningful impact she will have on our communications efforts.”

Prior to joining Entergy Mississippi, Smith-Jeuitt spent over a decade advancing the mission and brand reputation of the American Red Cross in Mississippi. Throughout her tenure with the nonprofit, she held numerous communications, marketing, and leadership roles. Most recently, she served as the executive director of the Southwest Mississippi Chapter, where she acted as the principal spokesperson, strengthened community awareness, and led a wide range of stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Smith-Jeuitt graduated from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcasting. She is a member of the Public Relations Association of Mississippi, the National Association of Black Journalists, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She also serves on the advisory board for the Hinds Community College mass communication department.
