Entergy Arkansas March storm update – 3/16/2026, 11 a.m.

Sunday evening’s storm brought high winds and vegetation damage that caused power outages across parts of the state, peaking at approximately 22,600 customers without power. Entergy Arkansas crews worked through the night and have already restored about 70% of those outages in less than 12 hours.

As of this morning, crews are actively working to restore service to the remaining 6,900 customers. Restoration efforts are ongoing, and we remain committed to restoring power as safely and quickly as possible.

Current outages are largely concentrated in Pulaski, Jefferson, Independence, Arkansas, Garland, Saline and Hot Spring counties. Damage assessment and restoration work are underway in each area, with assessments expected to be completed by noon in most locations and by 5 p.m. in more remote areas.

Area-specific updates
Little Rock – Baseline/John Barrow area: Most customers expected to be restored by 5 p.m. today, with full restoration anticipated by 10 p.m. tonight.

  • Downtown Malvern: Broken poles and downed wires have interrupted service. Restoration expected by 1 p.m. today.
  • Batesville: Majority of outages expected to be restored by 7 p.m. tonight.
  • Walnut Ridge/Corning area: Substation damage and broken poles are impacting service. Restoration expected by 10 p.m. tonight.
  • Stuttgart: Broken poles and downed wires have interrupted service. Restoration expected by 10 p.m. tonight.
  • Pine Bluff: Broken poles and downed wires have interrupted service. Restoration expected by 10 p.m. tonight.
  • Bryant/Bauxite: Broken crossarms and substation damage have been identified. Restoration expected by 3 p.m. today.

Customer support and safety information
Customers using portable generators should operate them outdoors and as far from the home as possible to prevent carbon monoxide exposure. Always read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions before operating a generator.

Safety reminders 

  • Stay away from downed power lines — they can be deadly
  • Report downed lines or damaged equipment by calling 1-800-9OUTAGE
  • Never attempt to remove debris near power lines
  • Keep clear of work areas where crews are restoring service
  • Use generators outdoors only and follow all manufacturer safety guidelines
  • Check on seniors and vulnerable neighbors
  • Avoid travel when possible to reduce accidents and allow crews safe access
