Texas Restoration Update: 9/3/17, 6 p.m.
There are currently transmission line outages across the Entergy Texas service territory as well as substations that are still under water, which is causing outages for several thousand customers. As floodwaters recede and large transmission lines are repaired, estimated times of restoration will become clearer. Please know that we are working as quickly as possible to restore power in areas we can access. There are currently transmission line outages across the Entergy Texas service territory as well as 13 substations that are still under water, which is causing outages for several thousand customers. As floodwaters recede and large transmission lines are repaired, estimated times of restoration will become clearer. Entergy Texas expects to be able to inform customers by Sunday night on how long it will take to restore your power.

Entergy Making Steady Progress at Power Restoration
As floodwaters recede, Entergy Texas, Inc. will be able to access transmission lines and substations that were once under water. This will allow crews to assess the damage to the system and what it will take to restore power to thousands of customers.

Texas Restoration Update: 9/2/17, 10 a.m.
Flooding is significantly impacting Entergy's ability to restore power to customers in some areas, and flooding is expected to continue for several days. Several substations which distribute electric service to many customers, over large areas are experiencing outages due to flooding. Restoration of these locations is also being hampered as workers are unable to access these areas. Entergy workers will assess damage and begin restoration when flood waters recede and it is safe to do so.

New Orleans’ CBD Crew Members Head to Texas
Now that Harvey has moved northeast and its feeder bands are no longer affecting the Gulf Coast, several members of Entergy New Orleans’ Central Business District crew are heading to Texas to help restore Beaumont’s downtown network.
