Entergy Mississippi invests $33 million to enhance power reliability in Grenada County

Entergy Mississippi customers in Grenada County are now being served by a more reliable transmission grid. The company recently completed a $33-million project to support power load growth in Grenada’s industrial corridor. The project includes a new substation, 2 miles of transmission lines and 3 miles of distribution lines.

AWS: Good for Mississippi, great for Entergy customers

Entergy is excited that the AWS deal – the largest economic development win in Mississippi history and one of the largest such projects in the entire country in 2024 – landed in our service area.

nA groundbreaking ceremony for Entergy Mississippi's newly announced Delta Blues Advanced Power Station was held recently in Greenville, along with recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Gerald Andrus Steam Electric Station. Gerald Andrus will be retired when the new plant comes online in 2028.
